Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Hero's first Pokemon

Feeling as though the froakie had taken care of that creature at least for now. Hero thought is there anywhere we will be safe from those things? Froakie looked to Hero as though he just heard what he was thinking and leaped from his shoulder, after landing on the ground, froakie looked back at them and gestures what seemed like a follow me. Feeling slightly confused Hero said. Well we might as well follow him he's gotta know this area better than us". Misty didn't quite agree with Hero's statement but followed them both anyways.

Froakie was only walking cause he knew that the humans wouldn't be able to keep up, from Hero and Misty's perspective it seemed as though the froakie was running and it was definitely rather difficult to keep up with him. Froakie looked back every now and again to make sure that they weren't falling too far behind. Anytime that it seemed like they were he slowed his pace just a little more. Froakie started to feel like this was taking forever, he thought why can't the humans just move faster. Hero and Misty felt the burn as they had been running for quite some time now. Suddenly a sound goes off in Hero's mind. *Ding*. Achievement unlocked Feel The Burn! The ding followed by the voice sure did startle Hero, he had almost forgot about his "guide" and now wondered what was this achievement all about and how is it gonna help me? Hey Guide. Yes Master. What's Feel the burn? It is one of many achievements, it seems with all this running you have been doing you have now "felt the burn" and by doing so have naturally increased your stamina stat. You have also increased your strength stat but only slightly. Hero could definitely feel the burn. His legs seemed as though they were on fire but the froakie was still going so he wasn't gonna stop just because of a little pain he thought. As he pushed through another notification sounded. *Ding* passive skill unlocked. Embrace The Burn! As this happened Hero noticed the pain starting to fade away it was almost gone even. Guide, could you explain this skill to me please. Yes master, tier 1 Passive Skill: Embrace The Burn-As you start to push past "feeling the burn" this allows for a temporary boost in stamina and somewhat alleviates pain. Currently Level 1. As this explanation ended he noticed he was catching up to froakie rather quickly even. Almost leaving Misty behind in his excitement, he looks back noticing she is falling behind and froakie has now stopped at a cave just up ahead. He decides to slow down a bit to keep her at least within sight, he eventually caught up to froakie. Thinking to himself as he and froakie waited for misty to catch up. It didn't take her to long to finally catch up. She was gasping for air and almost lost her balance for a second stopping herself by grabbing her knees. I was scared you guys were gonna ditch me. She said between breaths. I made sure to keep you within sight. He quickly replied. Finally as she regained her composure. So are we going inside or we just gonna stand here all night. With that being said they entered the cave that froakie had led them to.

Once inside Hero could tell why froakie had brought them here. Hero had felt like this was some kind of sacred place the purplish fog seemed to stop at the caves entrance. Almost as though no evil domain could enter this space. An overall feeling of peace enveloped both Hero and Misty. They looked to each other and then looked towards the froakie, it seemed as though he was trying to remember which path they needed to take. "Fro fro froakie!" he said as he waved his hand gesturing them to follow.

As they started to follow him, Hero thought this might be a good time to try and find out what exactly misty knows about what's been happening in her city and just how long it's been going on. "Hey Misty, so can you tell me how long things have been like this." She pondered on his question for a bit gathering her thoughts. "Well it's been about a month since I last saw the professor. At that time everything was pretty normal." She paused, but only for a moment while she tried to recall the conversation that she had with the professor. "I remember he was speculating to me about his thoughts on some sacred areas and how he hypothesized that there's probably a lot more sacred areas. This place seems like this is one of those areas he was telling me about." Hero needing to clarify. "Okay so if I've got this right the professor's been missing for about a month this purplish fog and these strange creature's all started showing up right after, so do you think the professor went to seek out these other sacred areas." Misty was hopefully skeptical in her reply. "I assume that it is very possible that's where he went off to."

They had been following the froakie for some time now when suddenly a wild wobbuffet appeared. froakie acting of his own accord dashed quickly attempting to land a quick attack. However wobbuffet was prepared and launched froakie off of its stomach using its counter move dealing double the damage that froakie would have dealt. Froakie started to look like he was in pretty rough shape, after all it did somehow deal with that monster earlier. Hero shouted in desperation. "No, froakie it's going to be ok, here take this." Hero had used one of their potions and with that froakie started to look a bit better. Meanwhile wobbuffet had used its encore move which forced froakie to use its quick attack for the next three turns. With no other options froakie launched yet another quick attack. Fortunately for froakie wobbuffet did not have time to prepare its counter move and took the full force of the froakies quick attack. However wobbuffet didn't seem to be all that phased by the attack and prepared for the next one by activating its counter move. Still being forced by the effects of encore froakie used quick attack yet again only to get hit by yet another counter from the wobbuffet. With this successful counter froakie had barely held on determined to protect these new friends of his. Misty had seen enough and decided it was time to pitch in with some support. With no hesitation she threw one of her pokeballs and exclaimed. "I choose you Staru, go help our friend froakie and use your water gun. The pokeball opened up and released Staru. The water gun attack had landed with quite a bit of force which had knocked the wobbuffet back. Wobbuffet still seemed like it had plenty of fight left in it as it simply shook it off and then shined for a brief moment for it had just prepared its mirror coat ability. As the mirror coat finishes its activation, froakie still being under the effects of encore launches another quick attack. As the attack connects froakie suddenly felt the affects of encore starting to wear off, however he still felt very weak. Wobbuffet still barely showed any signs of weakness and shined again as it prepared yet another mirror coat. Misty noticing this calls out to her Staru. "Quickly Staru use your tackle attack." with that Staru had started spinning and launched itself towards the wobbuffet. The tackle seemed rather affective for the wobbuffet finally started showing signs of fatigue. "Quick Hero now is your chance why don't you try and catch it." Misty said as she noticed the wobbuffet starting to look weaker. Hero wasted no time and quickly threw a pokeball. The pokeball had hit the wobbuffet right in the belly and a bright light enveloped the wobbuffet as it was now being transferred into it. With the pokeball landing on the ground it slowly swayed back and forth as the light in the center was blinking red.
