The growling, snarling and shouting filled the stadium as one of the boys secured a goal. Making the team howl in happiness and jumping on the boy.
" Boys," The Coach's assistant, Ronald barks to gain everyone's attention.
" After ten minutes break, we will do another match practice. Until then human boys take a rest and werewolves do jumping jack then run," Ronald shouted and bowled the whistle as he finds it exciting.
As the break was going to finish, Alpha Aston, Beta Liam and Gamma Oliver arrived and walked to Ronald asking,
" When will the match practice start?"
" In just two minutes, Alpha," Ron replies and the boys go to the bench to keep their bags.
" From today works, I can't wait to blow some steam off and win," Gamma Oliver muttered.
" I know right, I can't still believe that man had four she-wolves captured and no one knew about it," Beta Liam mumbled still in disbelief.
" I think he is the mole but he doesn't have any access to information that could have helped Unknown. He literally made isolated himself most of the time," Alpha Aston shared his thoughts.
" Maybe there are more men like him in our pack," Gamma Oliver shared his doubt which Alpha Aston and Beta Liam believe the possibility.
The sound of the whistle stopped their discussion as Ronald barks calling the boys for the match practice.
Alpha Aston was appointed as the leader of one team while Beta Liam was appointed as the leader of another team. As Ronald throws the ball in the air and then blows the whistle starting the match.
It was clear the boys without wolf spirits were legging behind and their performance wasn't good compare to those having wolf spirits. But by the time the final match will hold all the boys in the team will have their wolf spirit.
Ronald recorded the practice match on his phone as instructed by Coach Sebastian. After the time was finished, Alpha Aston's team had two extra points then Beta Liam's team declared them the winner.
After a bit of celebrating, all the boys went to the locker room. The room was filled with sweat smell, chattering voices of boys and then lockers metallic noises. Alpha Aston ignore those until he heard Ava's name being mentioned.
" The Coach is doing the unthinkable gesture of love towards Ava. Now my mate is mocking me and saying to take notes from Coach," One of the boys said from another end of the room.
" What did the Coach do this time?" His friends asked while changing clothes.
" Coach knows to do magic so he did a trick where glowing butterflies turned into a tiara for Ava. Then he made a carpet fly like in Aladin for completing the mating ceremony. Because of that, Rachel wants me to think out of the box for our mating ceremony," Alpha Aston couldn't believe a word the boy said and turned to ask Beta Liam but he answered the question before Alpha Aston could ask.
" It's true. Sophia told me about it," Beta Liam behaves normally yet he didn't like the Alpha Aston's reaction. Beta Liam couldn't confront him in front of an audience.
Shutting his locker loudly, Alpha Aston walks out of the room in agitation and slowly started to run as he walked out of the indoor stadium.
Shifting into his wolf form, Vic follows the direction of the smell of cooked meat. And stand out in front of a steak restaurant where pack members recognised him as soon as he arrive. Quickly, two waiters came out carrying four plates of meats that is slightly cooked with flavour with salt. Placing the plate in front of the Vic and bowed before leaving. Vic didn't waste any time and started to eat as much as he could then walked randomly to see if everything is well.
The cry of the female caused Vic to run towards a well-maintained-looking house and barks at the door. The door was opened by a middle age man who bowed to Vic. The wolf growled and pushed the man aside as he walked inside the house. He saw a woman who had an aura of Runt crawl down in submission to a woman around the same age as a man.
" Alpha, she tried to steal...," Vic growled dangerously making the woman stop speaking and Vic walk towards the Runt. Who was scared of him yet stood still, her fear went when Vic lick her face and rub his head on her face and neck showing a sign of affection.
Looking into her eyes, Alpha Aston tried to connect with her through mind-link. He asked a question as he felt a connection,
" Are you safe with them?"
The woman hesitates to answer while her heart started to beat faster.
" As an Alpha, I will protect you. If you refuse my help, I can't do anything. So, are you safe with them?" Alpha Aston asked again and this time the woman started to sob as she shook her head no.
" Save me, Alpha," She begged making Vic turn around the two people and growl at them in the protection of the Runt.
" Alpha," Vic roared as the man spoke and cause him to be quiet. He released his dominant aura making the man and woman submit. In the meanwhile, Alpha Aston called the head guard of the area to the house.
The head guard arrives with a few warriors and saw the woman Vic was covering, he was shocked and blurted out,
" Stella, is that you?"
The woman nodded timidly. The warrior placed a shirt and pants in front of Vic. The wolf grabbed the clothes and went to the closed room which was revealed to be the kitchen. Then shifted into human form, giving Alpha Aston control.
He walked into the living room where everyone was present and asked,
" What did they do to you?"
The woman looked at the couple in fear and then at Alpha Aston feeling secure so she answered,
" I am their niece. After my parents died, they become my legal guardian. They bullied me and forced me to stay away from other members. After I graduated, they locked me up in the attic and forced me to do house chores. In the meanwhile, they were spending my trust fund on themselves and their children,"
" Alpha, she is lying," The man shouted causing the woman to flinch.
" Is she?" Alpha Aston commanded making the man confess.
" No,"
" I want them arrested and taken to pack cell. They will be on trial in two days along with their children. Find them and if they are minors then place them in the detention centre. Otherwise, treat this family according to the pack punishment written by my grandfather, Epsilon Christopher," Alpha Aston ordered making the couple to pale as the punishments written by Epsilon Christopher are cruel and painful.
" Take them now," Alpha Aston announced making the warriors grab the couple who were crying for mercy to Alpha Aston but he wasn't affected.
" Stella, you can come to live in the pack house where you will be treated with kindness and respect," Alpha Aston said but the woman shook her head saying,
" I won't enter that house. Nobody helped me when I escaped and cried for help there, Alpha,"
Alpha Aston was shocked to hear this and looked at the head guard who nodded confirming her story.
" I assure you from now wards, you will be treated equally and warriors will be assigned to protect you and provide anything you want until the trial is completed," Alpha Aston muttered and gestured to the head guard to follow him outside. Stella walked to the window leaning on it to hear the conversation.
" Why didn't anyone help her?" Alpha Aston asked.
" It happens after the blood moon night. Everyone was in chaos to help her and when Epsilon Chris asked about her. We all were told she ran away. Epsilon Chris made me and others search the house completely. We didn't find her but a letter with her blood stating she is leaving the pack as she doesn't trust the Alpha anymore," The head guard narrated making Alpha Aston feel relief that his father tried to help then abandoned her.
" Didn't anyone ever hear her cry? I was two blocks away and heard her. Investigate the whole block and the members who were in contact with this family. Make sure to be clear about the punishments. They will be receiving the first-class torture of a traitor and can be executed publically," Alpha Aston's words made the head guard feel terrified.
" Treatment as a traitor, Alpha. This never happens before," The head guard muttered.
" As a pack, we should protect each other and turn a blind eye when a member is being tortured. It's the sign of the traitor," Alpha Aston explained and looked at Stella waving bye. She returns the wave hesitantly.
" Give daily report to my assistant," Alpha Aston spoke to the head guard and left while the head guard entered the house.
" You have changed a lot, Brian," Stella commented to which Brian nodded in agreement and noticed Stella's undernutrition body feeling guilty for not saving her sooner.
" It's been five years since we see each other," Brian spoke.
" Why did you lie? I was still in school when the blood moon attack happen," Stella asked accusingly.
" I want Aubrey to be the Alpha of this pack. She is planning to dethrone Alpha Aston. Giving false information may help her," Brian answered.
" He is a kind man, he helped me instantly, Brian. As an Alpha should do," Stella muttered wrapping her arms around her.
" It's about the right. The Alpha title wasn't his right and his father had stolen it," Brian said placing his hands into his jeans pocket.
" He has my loyalty, Brian," Stella announced which Brian understand.
" It's your choice, Stella...You have to see an Iota. I mind-linked the hospital, they will send a doctor and nurse for you," Stella nodded at his words while she repays the incident again in her mind, still not believing she is saved.
" I forgot how the mind link feels like until Alpha Aston talked through it but I couldn't talk back" Stella spoke unintentionally.
" Can you feel your wolf spirit?" Brian asked eagerly.
" They gave me injections every day. Making me so weak that I don't fight or feel hope," Stella muttered showing her arms with needle marks and looking at Brian in sadness.
" It's over, Stella," Brian consoled as he didn't know what else to say and promise himself he will punish those cruel family members for their crimes.
" Because of Alpha Aston," Stella stated with confidence to which Brian nodded.
" Do you know how my little brother Khai is doing?" Stella asked hoping for a positive answer.
Before Brian answered, Stella talked,
" They said he was sent to a pack-house where he was adopted by a Delta or Zeta couple. Is it true?"
" From what I know, he isn't been adopted but living as an orphan. Your Uncle gave up his legal guardian right saying he can't raise a child who will turn up like you," Brian answered.
" Someone like me... Nobody ever helped me because I was a rebel who didn't like to follow rules and cause trouble for others. That was why I was forgotten easily," Stella laugh humorlessly then walked up the stairs.
" Tell me if you need anything," Brian muttered.
" Bring my brother to me," Stella said as she stops on mid stairs.
" Brian, they won't be coming here right?" Stella asked feeling anxious.
" No, I will make sure of that," Brian promised and left the house while Stella stood in the middle of the corridor looking up at the attic door.
After a sigh, she walked inside a room and then opened the closet. Touching the clothes and feeling free to wear new cloth overwhelms her and she started to cry. Thanking the moon goddess to end her nightmare.
She went to the bathroom and wash her face then saw her reflection in the mirror. Touching her face, she knew she looked older than her age. She was eighteen when she was locked and it's been five years. Yet she looks in her late thirties, a fear settling on her thinking if Kai could recognise her. Kai was eleven when she graduated so he must be sixteen. She never spends time with him as a teenager, she spent most of her day and night hanging out with her friends. She hardly remembers her memory with Kai. Hoping this time, she will change that.
While Kai looks into the pack's living room just like the other pack members Who were surprised to see older Epsilons in the living room.
Epsilon Ben's parents, Frank and Linda were eating pastry along with their parents, Will and Sarah, and Epsilon Adrian's parents Daniel and Daisy were looking at the photo of pack members hanging in the living room. Epsilon Chris's parents Christopher and Amy, and Adrian's grandparents, Louis and Lilly were talking with the older omega. They reveal the truth of being in a coma which makes everyone shocked and angry.
Beta Liam and Gamma Oliver enter the pack house noticing the crowd in the living room. The two boys were seen by the older Epsilons as they enter the living room.
Beta Liam was immediately hugged by his grandparents. His grandmother, Lind and great-grandmother Sarah cried seeing Beta Liam.
" You look just like your father, Matt," His grandfather, Frank commented.
" I get that a lot, Pops," Beta Liam said.
" Did you guys meet Mom and Dad?" Beta Liam asked.
" Yes, they dragged Anna away thinking they won't face us again. We will be living on the Beta Floor from today onwards," Epsilon Will muttered making Beta Liam fake his smile yet he knew this will cause huge drama.
" Where is Alpha Aston?" Epsilon Christopher questioned Gamma Oliver who couldn't stop looking at Adrian's parents and grandparents.
" I mind-link him, he is on his way," Gamma Oliver answered.
" How long...," Epsilon Christopher stopped himself to ask as he heard the door opening and as expected Alpha Aston walked inside.
" Is everything okay here?" Alpha Aston asked pretending he didn't understand what was happening.
" As Epsilons we want you to accept your mate, Anna otherwise you will give up your title as Alpha," Epsilon Christopher demanded making Alpha Aston growl.
" You have no right to order me. I am the Alpha and you have to accept it," Alpha Aston muttered.
" That's how you show respect to Epsilons. I was an Alpha and don't make me fight with you, kid," Epsilon Christopher shouted.
" How can I respect you when you are after the title that I worked for since I was a kid?" Alpha Aston question.
" The title was stolen by your father. It belongs to my daughter," Epsilon Amy spoke this time calmly and asked Alpha Aston,
" When was the last time you helped someone rather than letting an older member handle the matter?"
" I planned with the council to fight against the Unknown," Alpha Aston answer feeling proud.
" How much do you contribute to the plan? None. We know you followed the council's plan than making your own. And still haven't interrogated the prisoners because the council says so. This isn't like an Alpha but a puppet," Alpha Aston was speechless listening to his grandmother whose voice may sound kind but her words were sharp like a knife.
" The first good thing we heard that you did was to save Stella Mcallen who was forced to slave for her guardian uncle and aunt. Tell me more about your achievement?" Kai was alarmed to hear news about his sister from Epsilon Amy. He quickly walked out of the pack-house to meet his sister as he wasn't interested in the drama happening in the living room.
" I did what my Dad taught me. The council is an authoritative body that is above any Alpha," Alpha Aston muttered making older Epsilon frown at his statement.
" That's what Chris taught you. An Alpha doesn't listen to anyone when it comes to the pack's safety," Epsilon Amy responded back.
" You should have learned this from the Alpha Camp," Epsilon Christopher snarled in disappointment.
" What is Alpha Camp?" Alpha Aston questions snarling shocking older Epsilons that they all gasped.
" Call your fathers in the Alpha Office. We have an important matter to discuss," Epsilon Christopher announced and walked to the stair. Giving no choice to Alpha Aston to say otherwise.
