Parking his bike in front of Noah's house, Khai removed his helmet and walked to the door.
Noah opened the door before Khai could press the bell.
" Noah, are you okay? What's the urgent matter you wanted to tell?" Khai asked.
" Remember, I told you I will introduce you to my parents?" Noah answered with a question making Khai realise.
" Finally, I am dying to meet them," Khai exclaimed.
Noah and Khai walked to the hall where Aubrey, Epsilon Christopher and Epsilon Amy were.
Khai was shocked to see the three people and carefully shook hands with Epsilon Christoper, Epsilon Amy and Aubrey.
" So are you Aston's uncle or cousin?" Khai whispered to Noah who gave an unbelievable look at his friend.
The three werewolves laughed at Khai's words and Aubrey proudly clarified,
" He is my son. His father, Zion is at work right now so he isn't here. He wanted to meet you, Khai,"
" That's fines...," Khai muttered nervously.
" So, Khai, how's the investigation going on? My hands are full on making Noah Alpha that I didn't get time on supervising the case," Epsilon Christopher asked.
" Well, turns out the neighbours knew about Stella but they were either blackmailed or made deals to be silent... They traffic her a lot that she had three forced abortions," Everyone was speechless hearing Khai's words.
" Moon goddess, it... I am sorry to hear that, Khai. I never thought these things going inside our pack," Epsilon Amy mumbled in shock.
" My sister isn't the first one rescued from within pack's trafficking. The day of bombs burst and the market being wrecked... That day maybe Alpha got to know about the trafficking happening within our pack. From that day, they rescued fifteen she-wolves and ten males," Epsilon Amy and Aubrey gasped hearing it for the first time.
" Through investigation, it is assumed because of too much privatization and human-like privacy laws imposed caused these happening," Khai continued to speak,
" And because of the hierarchy of werewolves aura caused the strong werewolves to surpass the weak werewolves into being quiet," Khai finished talking and didn't like the silence so he started to ask questions.
" When will you overthrow Aston from Alpha title?"
" When we get a perfect opportunity where no one in the pack will object even Beta and Gamma," Noah answered.
" So we all will be just waiting for the perfect opportunity?" Khai raised his brows at the answer.
" No, we will be training Noah and you for your future title," Epsilon Christopher said.
" But I don't have Beta or Gamma blood," Khai pointed out.
" Technically, Oliver isn't Gamma blood or a member of our pack. So it's easy to distitle him and there isn't a member with Gamma Blood so Alpha can choose anyone to be Gamma of the pack," Aubrey explained.
" Just because Liam's loyalty belongs to Aston doesn't make him your enemy that should also be distitled. He is a Beta Blood descendant from the first Beta. Win his loyalty, am I clear, boys?" Noah and Khai nodded their heads hurriedly at Epsilon Christopher's words.
" So Khai, are you ready to be the Gamma of the Howler Pack?" Aubrey asked.
" You can take time to think, bro," Noah muttered feeling empathy towards his friends.
" Nah, I don't need time. I am okay with being Gamma as long as you are the Alpha," Khai said. Then the two boys gave fist bumps to each other.
" Wait, you should be awakened to distitle Aston," Khai pointed out.
" Actually, do you remember when Coach claimed Ava his mate... That day, I wasn't feeling well... I shifted that day," Noah explained nervously.
" What!" Khai shouted.
" Then how to make no one notice your wolf sense and Why didn't you tell me?" Khai questioned.
" That day was when I found out my parents and...everything just overwhelmed me that I took days to accept. And Dad gave me this locket to hide my wolf's sense," Noah pulls out a locket with Sapphire that looks like stone.
" I agreed with you. This is a lot," Khai muttered understandingly.
" This went great then I except. You are really understanding man, Khai," Epsilon Amy said.
" Thank you but I prefer more like going with the flow type of the guy," Khai replied.
Then the two boys went to Noah's room after the discussion with the elders.
" So, what will you do when Anna finds out? She won't react nicely," Khai said to Noah once the door was closed.
" Nothing," Noah answer in a duh tone.
" So if she jumps on you and started to kick or punch you. You won't do a thing," Khai points out a scenario.
" Well, I have to hold her up and explain. Being an Alpha is my right that I found out after I was shifted. Also, I never betrayed her trust or our friendship. She won't definitely accept at first but eventually she will," Noah explained.
" Being a gentle Alpha. I like it," Khai commented.
" Do you think your grandfather likes me because he had a look of thinking?" Khai asked.
" Of course he does, otherwise he would have said there itself. He always has that look before going to pack house to meet Aston," Noah shared making Khai have a mischievous smirk.
" What is he going to do there?" Khai excitedly asked.
" I don't know, yet," Noah muttered as he feels a bit bad for Aston.
Reading the email sent by the council shows the disappointment they had learning Aston release most of the werewolves.
Alpha Aston quickly sends an email stating his title and that the council doesn't have any right to order him even though he requires their help. Reminding the laws King impose after the new council was assembled.
After sending the email, the knock on the door stops Alpha Aston from going through the yellow file on the pack's information.
" Come in," Alpha Aston orders.
All the elder Epsilon entered the office making Alpha Aston and his wolf, Vic cautious.
" Graddie-Epsilons are here. Come soon," Alpha Aston called out Beta Liam and Gamma Oliver through mind-link.
" What's the matter?" Alpha Aston asked in authority.
" Claim Anna as your mate and Luna of Howler Pack now or face the consequences," Anna's grandfather, Epsilon Frank offered a deal in a non-negotiable matter.
Alpha Aston laughs arrogantly and replies,
" As an Alpha, I would love to see the consequences you wanted to give,"
" Guards, " Epsilon Frank barked making Alpha Aston stand up getting ready to fight off.
Zeta's guards entered the office and announced,
" Alpha, you are now on the trial of proving your capabilities as Alpha since you rejected to claim your mate. You will be fighting against the Epsilons of the Howler Pack,"
The announcement of the trial against Epsilon recalled an old memory of Aston. Where Liam, Oliver and he were taught that Epsilons have the power to distitle after the trial of the high-ranked member. But they were quickly reassured that they won't ever face a trial against Epsilons as their parents will be the only few Epsilons in the pack.
So Alpha Aston quietly cooperates with the guards as they handcuffed him with silver and wolfbane. As he knew, any violet reaction will be used against him.
" What's going on here?" Gamma Oliver questioned as he was the first to enter the office than Beta Liam and Female Beta Sophie.
" Epsilons have filed a trial against me," Alpha Aston declared bitterly.
" So as per the rules of guilty until proven innocent of our pack which Epsilon Chris imposed. You won't be doing your duties as an Alpha but your Beta and Gamma will do until the trial is finished," Epsilon Aiden's father, Epsilon Louis explained to the three young men in the room.
Then the guards escort Alpha Aston to the pack cell. As they were going, they caught every members' attention in the pack house. Soon the whole pack was informed of Alpha Aston's arrest through mind-link. Which made everyone go to either the pack house or pack cell to witness the truth on the news.
Even though Alpha Aston was humiliated by this but he stood his head high and gave a kind smile to every member he looks. Showing a calm composture as a sign of his innocent to pack members who don't know the reason yet.
" Stay strong, son. I will get you out today," Epsilon Chris mind linked to Alpha Aston and soon Epsilon Carol speaks,
" We won't let your reputation get ruined,"
" Thanks, Mom and Dad," Alpha Aston replied as he didn't have any other words to say.
By the time, Alpha Aston was reach the cell, numerous rumours were spread by Annie or any members who had a grudge against Alpha Aston's parents or simple guess of a member.
The rumours varied from sleeping around to being the reason for attacks on the pack to paying the prices of his parents' crime to try to separate Ava from her mate to Anna being the reason for his arrest.
In the meanwhile, Beta Liam, Female Beta Sophie, Gamma Oliver and Female Gamma Chloe were going through every book on Alpha Trial. They did call Aston's werewolf lawyer who is on their way with his team to the pack house.
" Liam, why was Aston arrested?" Ava burst into the Beta Office followed by Sebastian.
" Graddie-Epsilons case a trial on his ability as an Alpha," Beta Liam answers being busy reading a book.
" On what?" Ava loudly asked.
" Not accepting Anna as his mate," Female Beta Sophia answered.
Before Ava could ask any more questions, Anna walked into the Office demanding an answer.
" What the joke is happening in the pack?"
" It's because of you!" Ava shouted while Sebastian didn't do anything to calm her down as it will be in his favour.
" What the hell do you mean?" Anna shirked back while the Beta and Gamma couple tried to ignore them. As they wanted Alpha Aston to be released from the cell as soon as possible.
" He is on trial because he didn't accept you," Ava answered and stand close to Anna in rage.
" Why didn't you solve your problems with Aston privately? This can cause his life," Ava questioned.
" Are you kidding me? Whatever, he is facing is the consequences of his own action," Anna shouted at Ava and pushed her back.
Sebastian quickly grasped his mate and dangerously stated,
" There is no need to get physical, Anna,"
Ignoring Sebastian's words, Anna muttered,
" It's good that Alpha Aston is in the cell. Now through this trial, everyone will know his true nature,"
Hearing Anna's words, Beta Liam growled and glared at Anna saying,
" Are you dumb? This trial can cause Aston's life and you are happy with it,"
Beta Liam walks to the other side of the table ignoring his mate who is trying to calm him down.
" What kind of mate are you?" Beta Liam roared making Anna and Ava flinch.
" Did you just roar at me, Liam?" Anna scoffed.
" Don't ignore his question, Anna. Answer us," Ava snarked.
" I am definitely not the kind of mate who lusts around Alpha Aston even though she has a mate," Anna spat at Ava who gasped.
" Are you accusing me of cheating?" Ava questioned as she gritted her teeth.
" I overhead Pop and Dad talking about your phone talks with Alpha Aston. Maybe you are the reason for his arrest," Anna revealed making everyone in the office shocked.
" What phone talks?" Sebastian asked sounding calm but his whole body shook with rage.
"It's just talking about past memories, Sebby. Nothing else," Ava sallow dryly before she answered.
" Choose him or me. Because whoever you choose to lose you won't see their face again," Sebastian announced shocking Ava.
" Listen, Sebastian..., " Sebastian showed his palm to stop Beta Liam from speaking.
" Let her choose," Sebastian ordered scaring Beta Liam.
" Sebby...please...," Sebastian interrupted Ava growling,
" Choose,"
" You," Ava whispered calming Sebastian down and he announced,
" Let's go home,"
With that Sebastian hold Ava's waisted and walked out of the office leaving everyone dumbfounded.
" Aston will lose his mind knowing this," Female Beta Sophia whispered.
" How did Pops and Dad find out about phone calls, Anna?" Beta Liam asked the first question that come to his mind.
" They had... Umm. Our rooms have secret microphones," Anna stammered.
" You knew and didn't tell me," Beta Liam growled and saw Anna's silence. Beta Liam questions her showing his wolf's angry eye which scared her.
" Tell me why,"
" Because I wanted him to be punished!" Anna shouted in fear and explained.
" Nobody ever punished him since we were kids. I wanted him to pay,"
Beta Liam scoffed in disbelief realising Anna's hatred and grudge that have never changed.
" Alpha Aston will deal with you until then as the Beta, you will be isolated and no one is allowed to talk to you," Beta Liam declared.
" As if that going to happen," Anna chuckled but stiffen as Beta Liam smirked and said,
" I will make it happen,"
Beta Liam looked at his mate and Female Gamma. He ordered,
" Sophia and Female Gamma Chloe, take Anna to her room. Make sure she doesn't get out or anyone goes in without my permission,"
As per their training, Female Gamma Chloe and Female Beta Sophia didn't question or object to Beta Liam's order. They both hold Anna's arms and drag her to her room. While Anna protests and talks to her friends but they didn't respond.
When Anna was pushed inside her room and locked. She screamed and banged the door repetitively.
With difficulty in breathing, Anna called her parents but had no answer making her throw her phone across the room. She knew they are busy with Alpha Aston's case.
Being locked for an hour, Anna decided to leave the pack as everyone prioritises Alpha Aston over her simply because of a title.
Packing her bag with necessary items, clothes and leaving any kind of device that can track her. She opens the hidden door that will lead to a safe room and a tunnel which will allow her to reach pack territory.
Then she wrote a letter stating the reason for running away before standing in front of the door.
When she moved into the pack house her parents showed her siblings and her the routes.
" Thank moon goddess, Liam didn't remember this due to pressure," Anna muttered and walked into the hidden door.
