Hershey cringed at her own words.
'What the hell, me?!' she cursed mentally, displeased with herself. 'That's the worst possible excuse you could have ever come up with!'
Blair laughed out loud, having seemed to buy it. "You don't have to feel like that!" She threw an arm around Hershey's shoulders, pulling her into a hug. "We're family!"
"Yeah, yeah. Save the hugs for your prince." Hershey looked up, then smirked and waved. "Speak of the devil."
Blair turned in the direction she was looking, and a brilliant grin spread across her face. There stood Cadmus at the entrance, hands in his pockets and a tranquil smile gracing his features.
Kicking on the concrete beneath her feet, she went ahead and shot off like a bullet. Cadmus strode up to try and meet Blair halfway. She leaped a bit and threw her arms around him, pulling him into a hug and earning her a laugh.
