"It was a bell!" Cadmus exclaimed. "But why would there be a bell out in the forest, you might ask? The youngest told her father, but he believed it wasn't anything serious. So, they all went about their day like she never said anything."
There were various reactions to that.
Hershey let out a scoff. Hartmut tilted his head in confusion. Jamir and Irvin frowned. Russell kept quiet. Blair shook her head in disappointment.
"Adults never believe kids," Blair sighed, and everyone silently agreed.
Cadmus continued, "Later that evening, the police department received a strange call coming from the cabin they lived in. The police officer that responded got there and immediately noticed all the lights were on, the front door wide open. He got his gun out, preparing to investigate."
According to him, there was nothing suspicious at first, but that's until the police officer noticed signs of a struggle in the kitchen.
