"If it wasn't for what, Mrs. Irina?" chimed Cadmus when Irina suddenly trailed off.
For some reason, she stopped in the middle of her narrative. Seeing the haunted look that briefly crossed her face, he wondered if he was asking for too much after all. But to be fair, she was the one who offered and brought it up.
At any rate, Cadmus didn't want to force Irina to disclose all the details.
She had no obligation to explain anything. He was but a mere outsider anyway.
"It's alright if you don't want to continue." Though in reality, Cadmus had long been dying to know what happened to Blair back then. "I understand that it's something confidential."
