Cadmus looked around hastily and was about to panic when Blair spoke out of nowhere.
"Oh, sorry, I got distracted by that cute flower," she blithely said, completely unaware that she almost caused a heart attack. "And the path was too dark, and I couldn't see clearly."
"Idiot!" Cadmus growled, taking Blair aback. "Stay close to me! You're such a hopeless case!"
"Geez, Your Highness. No need to shout."
Cadmus turned to continue walking but then paused as he felt a tug on his shirt. He looked back to see Blair gripping tightly at the hem of his school jacket.
'Because she was scared or s-something? D-Does she trust me that much? Or maybe she just wants to g-get close to me? Now that w-we're alone and all?'
