"Heheh, this smell is the best…" Enjar said with a low voice to himself.
It turned out that those bruises were from the attacks that he received from the people of Gril family. At that time, Enjar received 2 blunt attacks that was projected onto his back when he was trying to shorten his distance toward Kail, the young master from the Gril family.
It was either he did bear his pains up till now that no one noticed this, or he was fine only after someone touched the bruises, or he was asking for some affection and attention from his wife. If the last option was truly the case, then no one could blame him though. If a man had that kind of a wife who not only had a beautiful countenance that seemed reserved and gentle, if that man wasted the chance to ack for some love, then he was losing out big things, no cap.

They proceeded to head into a room with a soft bed located at the upper center of that room. They went there to treat his bruises by treating it with some ointments to make it cool and relaxing. Vebi treated the bruises with care and attention, trying not to press it too hard so that she would not hurt him.
Some slight yipes were unavoidable in every treatment that came from the patients who had injuries. Letting out sounds from pain was a natural thing, a reflex that every human being should be having. Even the toughest man could not evade this kind of thing. Naturally, every injury was different in sizes and fatality, and that was common sense.
A man who had fought in many battles and wars, even feared by many because of his fearsome ability, methods, and unwavering determination. Right now, he was yipping like a little boy every time he was being touched in the place where the bruises were pointing toward the rooftop.
Those who knew him from how he acted outside would be dumbfounded if they saw how funny he acted right now. It was just too contradicting! It was too ridiculous that it might be peak comedy of the year for them. They who heard this would not believe it at all, as if they just heard some fairy tale that was spoken by a five year old girl. Fairy tales that were supposed to be given to children now were given to the adults, by a child at that, how could they believe that?
But for those who know him better, those who were close to him, know more than they could about how he was so childish and contradicting sometimes. At times he acted serious and solemn, as if he was a man that could not be taken lightly either from his presence, words, and actions. Just like how a strict teacher taught their students, no one dared to act wantonly in front of him.
Sometimes he acted like a maniac, having a very weird grin plastered on his face with how wide his smile was and how small his black eyes seemed, as if he was so pumped and could not contain his expression. Those who saw them would be creeped out for most of the time, even to the ones who were close to him. It was just so weird!
And now, he acted like a five year old boy who wanted a toy that he saw on the street.
She knew that he was looking for attention and love. He was just being spoiled, asking with his gestures and talks to be doted upon and cared for. She found it cute and could only smile helplessly from how he acted right now.
"Does it really hurt that much?" She asked with a smile on her face. It seemed amusing for her to see him acting like this. She once again pressed her right hand to one of the bruises. And Enjar yipped, seemingly from the pain that came from her action.
"Yeah! It hurts, you know! Those Gril goons were so unreasonable! I was just having my way to attend to my own business and suddenly they came to me with ill intention! It seemed like what I've done to them was not enough, Babe. They are asking for a beating, literally, aihhh!" Enjar ended with a funny voice after he had been exclaiming sternly for the things that the Gril family had done to him.
"Geez, stop being so dramatic.." Vebi said while having a little laugh there. She was always amused every time she saw him acting like this. When a man was doing like this in front of his women, it showed how he trusted them deeply enough to show them how vulnerable and relaxing he actually was, even if it came from the sternest man. It was naturally not applicable to every couple out there, but if a man acted like how Enjar did, then there was a big chance he was just being himself.
"....I see…." Enjar said dispiritedly. He said as if he was talking to himself, his eyes dimmed and there was not a joyful atmosphere around him anymore. He seemed sad for some reason, and it was just so sudden that Vebi got caught off guard. She naturally realized that something was off with him so she asked him about it.
"What's wrong?" Vebi asked with a curious gaze toward him. She did not know what happened and why he acted like this. What was the best thing to do if one did not know the answer? Asking to the one who knew of course. But Enjar seemed like he did not want to answer, and asked with another question of his own.
"Do you think I did a bad thing…" Enjar said, with an even lower tone. He sighed a mouthful of air, as if he resigned with all of the things that he had and forgot about it at all. There was no fire in his speech, unlike how he usually talked and acted.
"What? Why do you think like that?" Vebi asked with a perplexed expression. She did not expect that Enjar became this dejected and down. Did she say something that somehow got on his nerves? She did not realize it, and tried to remember what she said to him just now.
"Haaa…. I think that was the best choice after all, eh. I should just be a stern and rigid man, right. I think that should be the case, right?" Enjar looked away, to the side where there was only a window and a table around it. Vebi could not see what his face looked like but somehow she could already imagine what his face looked like.
She bit his lip and stopped his treatment toward him. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something. But not a word came from it. She did not know what was the best thing she should say at the moment, or at least what she should say. She opened her mouth again and now words were coming out from it.
"Did you get hurt..?" Vebi asked while having a complex expression. She wanted to touch his body, but she stopped midway. Either afraid of making him more irked, or maybe because she was just afraid of him moved her hands away from him.
"Ahh.. Yes, of course I got hurt from those goons from the Gril family. Why did you ask?" Enjar said with a monotonous tone. Somehow Vebi discerned his tone as a cold voice, something that she did not want to hear from him. Someone who was so lively like a fair said something cold, that would be a contradicting phenomenon to witness. But she did not want to see it, especially toward her.
"No, of course not- Listen… I'm sorry Dear, I mean to hurt you. I'm sorry, I should not have said that…" Vebi said while lowering her gaze to the floor from watching Enjar's head that had moved away his gaze toward her for a while now.
"Mmm… What did you say I wonder…" Enjar continued his blank voice.
"Being dramatic…" Vebi answered, with the same dispirited voice.
"I see… then it is okay for me to be dramatic, right?" Enjar asked.
"Yes…" Vebi answered with a simple nod.
"Okay, that's good then. If you want me to forgive you, then you should kiss my right cheek right now." Enjar said. His voice seemed like he was getting better and more spirited.
He waited for a while, and the kiss that he had been waiting for did not come at all.
