Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 : What in the World

Vebi looked at Enjar with a surprised expression. She was about to say something when Enjar continued first. "But fortunately or unfortunately, I have power to back up my goals." Enjar smiled at her and grinned at her.

"Searing Spike." Enjar spoke up and all of a sudden, fire started to flare up inside of the room. The atmosphere around the two started to rose up with the seemingly intense the flame looked like, flaring up more than a meter long. Vebi's eyes started to widen, as if she had just seen something terrible.

"Aaa—" She started to scream loudly. But not even for a quarter of a second. Because Enjar's hand had already covered her mouth, as if he had already prepared for what was to come beforehand.

She was so shocked and scared witless. She thought that their house had just caught fire, either from an accident, a natural disaster, or maybe even an attack by someone or some people. She was so scared that she had started trembling, not even wanting to believe that all of this to happen.

But when she felt Enjar's hand and looked at how calm he was, she started to calm down and thought that this was probably not a bad thing. She knew that Enjar would always act with how the situation went on and knew just how serious he was if the matter was serious. If he was this calm, when a fire started to come unto them, then she believed that she was probably in a dream.

Yes, a dream. Like how could she believe that all of this was real? A fire had started to flare up and her husband just smiled at her, looking as if everything was under his control? She would rather believe that a man had married a painting than to believe this! Truly one unbelievable thing to witness for her mind that had never seen something like this, so it was natural for some cultural shock. Nah, for some powergap shock, as if how a middle aged person saw a helicopter. Probably the better term was technology shock.

Enjar enjoyed looking at how his wife had been acting so far. He found it amusing to see her being like this, looking at how dumbfounded she was. It was so funny that he wanted to laugh out loud, but knowing that it was still quite night, and there was someone upstairs that most likely was still sleeping,, she did not dare to laugh out loud.

Vebi suddenly seemed as if she had realized something. Something that seemed important, something that pieced the puzzles altogether. She looked at Enjar, and then she rolled her eyes to the side. She pushed away his hands and created a distance between them. She looked at him sideways as she said to him, seemingly sneering at him.

"Okay, it is time for me to wake up. It's good knowing you well, but my husband in real life is far better then you. You are but a dream of mine, real life is better so I better hurry up and woke up. Bye." She said it very fastly, just like how a light sped up everytime it shined. She slumped on the bed, with her eyes closed loosely.

She looked like she fell asleep again, with how soundly she seemed and calm. Her breathing had become even, not being erratic just like how she was just when she saw the fire that had been flaring up for a while now. There were two big chances that Enjar could think of.

It was either because she was so sleepy that she slept right away, without even looking as if she was just putting on an act. After all, they had been having pretty exciting activities last night, so it was natural for him to think that way.

Or she just fainted.

Now it was time for Enjar to be dumbfounded. He seemed like he had seen something that moved too fast for him to understand what was going on. Or because of how ridiculous it seemed. The fire that had been flaring up for not even 10 seconds long, the fire that had been preparing to form a spear since midway had stopped abruptly, with a grasp of the man who was the reason why fire started to show up so suddenly.

"What in the world-"

~

The dawn had started to become a morning, with how easily one was able to discern the surroundings and situations. There was a man who had been walking on the street. His clothes were fit and good looking, and he seemed to be pretty freshed up and well. A dashing look and a confident aura could be clearly seen from how he walked, and how his face looked. There was no fear and feeling scared that could be seen from his eyes, as if the dark was his friend and he knew him very well.

Enjar went on his way toward the center of the city. There were very few people around this time. The outside was still pretty cold too after all, and it was more comfortable to sleep inside of the house with a soft pillow and a soft bed.

He then arrived shortly at a building that had a pretty big size, there was a sign that could clearly be seen attached on the front top of the building. The font was pretty elegant and classy, but not over the top. It felt different compared to the other fonts that could be found around this area, as if the one who wrote this sign was someone that was an outsider of this city.

[Red Sun Company]

Enjar grinned when he saw that sign. This place was a building that belonged to him. He had gotten this building before when he still had his amnesia. He had gained it without even using his fire ability, only through some other means that he could employ. This could already be just how normal for people to call him a genius or some sort.

Even though this was his building, he did not go inside the building directly. Instead, he seemed to circle around the building and found a spot at some point of the walls around the building. He jumped, with the friction of some sparks could be seen beneath his feet if one took a look at them carefully.

He jumped over the walls and he did not stop there. He landed at the wall of that building, and jumped yet again to the walls that he just jumped over. His feet landed at the top side of the walls, and he once again jumped powerfully. And with that last jump, he made it to the top of the building, standing at the rooftop with a careful step.

One could argue about the reason why he did all of those actions when he probably could just jump over the building without even jumping at the walls? It was probably because Either he wanted to create a momentum so he could jump higher, or because he just wanted to look cooler. The last seemed to be the least likely, but it was still a chance nonetheless.

He had a smile plastered on his face. He walked carefully on the rooftop and arrived at some point. He proceeded to open up a gap that he could find, albeit it was not that easy to be discerned. It felt like only he could know it because of how hidden the point was.

He entered that place without even a shred of doubt, and closed the rooftop yet again. What he saw at that moment was total darkness, where there was not a single shine of light that could pass through this place except from the very small gaps that had been created from the entrance of Enjar's arrival before.

There were no windows to light up the room, especially when it was not even a day where the sun could light up the planet. He pointed up his index finger, and flame started to show up, flaring the room with its might.

Now there were sources of light, and Enjar could see the room better. He looked at one of the corners and saw that there was a door there. He walked to the door leisurely, but a jubilant expression could clearly be seen from his eyes, as if he could not wait to open the door anymore.

And the door opened only after a few moments, after Enjar used some kind of a key to open it. There was a box looking thing that resided on that place, covered with a cloth seemingly to protect it from dirt and suchs. Enjar grinned when his eyes landed on it.

"It is time to make some money."
