"What are you making?" Yvette asked him, still grinning a little bit after seeing him being red with embarrassment.
"I don't know… was about to ask you. You have any allergies or dislikes?" Irvyn asked her back. He was slowly composing himself, and his usual calm, nonchalant tone returned.
"Nah, I am such a good kid I can eat anything," Yvette giggled while responding.
"There is a more appropriate word for that. A Glutton," he replied, now completely in his usual monotone voice, proceeding ahead to the freezer in the kitchen. "Since we don't have all day to ourselves, and we are hungry, let's settle for something simple, pasta?"
"Sure! Want me to help?"
"No food is free here, ma'am. Come and earn your bread."
