"Would you hang in a second for God's sake?" Yvette spoke up behind him, but that was a bit louder than the usual talk, and the entire almost empty floor with eerie silence made it way louder than it already was, making it seem like she was shouting at him. Everyone who had been working quietly at their own task suddenly turned to stare at her with a puzzled expression.
"S-Sorry," Yvette lowered her voice, glancing down at her toes, embarrassed by her act just now.
"I didn't expect you to be having less mannerism, or should I say less common sense?" Irvyn continued to move in front of her as she spoke. But he slowed his pace, so that she doesn't end up falling way too behind. "Be a bit faster, we are running late."
"For what to be exact?" Yvette muttered under her breath, but didn't dare to be loud. She simply kept trailing after him.
