There was one thing that I don't understand in this world,
Dreams…
I was dreaming of strange things, and it is always the same dream… Either I saw my city burned or I saw a woman whispering something…
"When the time comes that the world needs you, stand up for the sake of humankind. Only you have the power to prevent this chaos."
Those words always stuck to my mind and I never got the meaning either, pretty much like a never ending puzzle to me. Who is she? Why did the city burn? Why am I the one who has the power? Thinking about this stuff was just making me more anxious about this dystopian life we lived.
I was not surprised anymore about this kind of stuff…
You know those aliens, war, calamities, famine…
If I said all of the problems we're facing nowadays, that would be a hundred percent sounds like a documentary story with a tragic ending.
Anyway…
Speaking about dreams, there were even more strange dreams I had. But nothing was stranger compared to the dream where I met Gilgamesh…
Yup, if you guys familiar with the Sumerian mythology, he was the king of Sumerian Empire. What was even more did not make any sense is… we were talking in the place that was nothing but darkness surrounded us.
He's about more than three meters tall, he is a masculine man and very handsome for a giant… He wears a cloth that functions as pants with color and design that look not much different from Egyptian attire. He also wears these ancient sandals with a tiny rope wrapping his both calves.
There was only one thing that bothered me with his appearance…
His beard doesn't suit his face...
"Seems like you are not surprised about this…" Gilgamesh said.
"After all the dreams that happened to me, you don't seem to surprise me at all…" I said, " Beside… You ain't real."
"Right… I am not real here… but once you meet a young woman, she will bring you to me. We need you, without your help I can't protect this earth." Gilgamesh said.
"Great… What now? Some giant told me that he needs me to protect this planet?" I sarcastically asked him.
"Gilgamesh," He interrupted
"Excuse me?" I was confused.
"Call me Gilgamesh," He answered. " I was the King of Sumerian Empire."
"Do you mean... Gilgamesh… Gilgamesh?" I asked
"Yes, Gilgamesh… Gilgamesh." He immediately answered with a serious face.
"Uhm?" I was confuse
"Okay all I am saying you are the young man in the prophecy," Gilgamesh said. "You will meet me soon kid, find a girl named Kaylie Maddison and she will lead you to me."
Wait what? How would I meet someone in the past? I was a hundred percent CONFUSED man. How did this giant human with a... beard that looked like it had never been washed for twenty years told me I am a child in the prophecy?
"I… have tons of questions about that if you don't mind…" I hesitate to say those words.
"I am sure you do Zacky but, I can't stay any longer right now kid, I will see you soon." Gilgamesh said. "Be careful with what you face soon young man."
The dark place and Gilgamesh disappeared in a matter of seconds...
I woke up again with a strange feeling…
Alright let me ask you something, how do you feel when you have "ambiguous" dreams and it feels sort of real?
Well in my case I can't explain…
It could be real, or it could be not. There was one thing in my mind at that time, No matter what… I have to find that woman. I have to make sure if this kind of thing exists, after all if these things were just dreams, I could tell myself that it's all a hallucination of me.
What strange dreams those were…
