"Greetings Your highness," Esther bowed her head lower as she came into the hall room and greeted the Queen and Prince Ali.
"Rise!," spoked Queen Mahama as she stared at the maid, "My name is Esther Richard, and am Princess Alesa personal maid in Acan, King Matthew sent me here to accompany his daughter home," responded Esther.
"Hmph, Where's Alesa?," questioned Queen Mahama as she stared at her own maids whom had gathered to look at the gossips, even some of the female guests that came for the contest, were also peeking to see what the gossip is all about.
"Go call Alesa!," spoked Queen Mahama, and a maid immediately left to call her, Queen Mahama sat down back on her Queen's throne, while she took out the letter sent by King Matthew to read, the letter wrote,
"Greetings her majesty of Kande, I and the rest of the royal family of Kande is glad to know that our daughter is in safe custody, thank you for helping her out, when the witches was out, I will like be to repay the favour back someday, we sent over her personal maid to accompany her in preparing herself till when she returns back to Acan palace, Thank you, his majesty King Matthew."
"Hmm.." Queen Mahama knotted her brows as her assistant read the letter out.
"Your Majesty, the princess is asleep," spoked the maid whom returned back after going to call Princess Alesa.
"Sleeping?," questioned Queen Mahama, "Is she Pregnant, as to why she will be asleep by this sunny afternoon." The hall fell into silence, while Esther immediately spoked, "Permit me to speak your majesty, but Princess Alesa normally sleep for hours during mid day back in Acan, as she normally stays indoor."
"I see," came the calming response from Queen Mahama, "So what are we going to do now? Sit and wait until she wakes up?," questioned Queen Mahama.
"Guards! go in there and wake the princess up!," thundered Queen Mahama and Prince Ali immediately stood up, "Mother!," he yelled and Queen Mahama stared at him in shock.
"Don't you dare to go wake up the princess, where's her new maid, Mary go and wake her up!," thundered Prince Ali and Mary immediately left to wake up the princess.
The hall fell into silence for a minute, and Queen Mahama spoke to the messenger, "you may return back to your post."
"Thank Your Majesty!," then the messenger went out of the hall room, few minutes later the maid returned, "Your Majesty, she said you asked her not to leave her chambers so she's not coming down stairs as she do not believe me," spoked Mary and Queen Mahama stiffened as she tightened her fist.
Then she looked around and saw most of the girls that came for the event peeping, "What are you all doing here?!," she thundered and they quickly left the hall room.
"Come follow me," She told princess Alesa personal maid, as they both went upstairs to the guest room. Prince Ali breathe out a sign of relief, he knew his mother hated Alesa, but there was nothing he could do to soften his mother's heart towards her, even though he liked Alesa.
Princess Alesa sat up on her bed and went to dress up in one of the maids clothes she used to wear in Kande, as she still had some of Tacha and Chka's cloth with her, she heard the door knob turned and Queen Mahama and her personal maid in Acan, came in together with Mary behind them, her mouth dropped as she had taught the Queen was joking when she had told her she will send words to her father.
"Good afternoon Your Majesty," Princess Alesa immediately bowed her head low as she greeted the Queen.
"I sent for you, and you insisted you wouldn't show up downstairs."
"Am sorry your highness, but I taught Mary was trying to play a plank on me," replied Princess Alesa.
"I see, truly you are a princess, as your father had send a confirmation words, but I will still like you to remain in doors here until the coronation event are over is that understood, or will you be going back home as your royall carriage are out there waiting for you?," questioned Queen Mahama, but Princess Alesa shook her head, "No, not yet my Queen, I will still like to see around the palace and beyond before I return back home," she responded.
"I see, then you should stay away from my son, I don't need any distraction towards him," Queen Mahama eyed her, sending a warning glare then she turned and as she was about exiting the door, she turned and look back, "Mary will still be with you here, as she know her way around the palace, much more than your maid whom had just arrived, I hope you can understand my point?,"
"Yes you majesty," replied Princess Alesa.
"Good!," Then she turned and left the guest room, going back downstairs as the preparation for the contest starts in the evening with the opening ball ceremony.
"My princess, I miss you so much," Esther rushed to give Princess Alesa a hug.
"I miss you too Ester!," spoked Princess Alesa as she hugged Esther back.
"How's every at home doing?," she questioned Esther as she went to sit down back on the couch in the guest room.
"They are all fine my princess, wait let me go and get our bags, you actually leave your face open for everyone here to see?," questioned Esther, but Princess Alesa just smiled.
"Am coming my princess, let me go downstairs and bring our bags, I had thought we will be going back home today as well," spoked Esther, and she quickly rushed out leaving only Mary and Princess Alesa in the room as she went downstairs to get their bags.
She spoked to the guards, "Princess Alesa said she isn't going back yet, maybe you can return back to Acan, untill when her Princess is ready to return back home."
"No! his majesty asked us to wait till when Princess Alesa comes back, since she's not going home yet, then we will stay here with her, untill she's ready to return back to Acan with us, or don't you know it's our job to protect the princess," spoked one of the guards, he helped her carry down the two boxes then he spoked to her, "You can go, I will speak with the guards and let them know we are staying until when the princess will be returning back home."
"Okay," Then Esther, dragged in the two boxes as she went inside the castle, the guards inside helped her carry the boxes as they went up the stairs, Esther wondered why there were so many people in the palace, most especially females and the palace was smelling of food like they were preparing for a party or festive celebration, she knocked and went into Princess Alesa room.
