She woke up with a start. Her cheeks were very pale as she caught up with her breathing.
Dominus held her in his arms as she sobbed, "What's wrong, my queen?"
The sincere concern in his voice made her shake her head, "Just a bad dream."
She could not tell him the nightmare that plagued her mind. It was that scene from months ago. The one she never told him about.
"Are you sure? You look as pale as a ghost, love. Maybe we should bring you to the hospital?" he asked, his handsome face filled with worries.
"No, I will be fine," she assured him, holding onto his arm.
"Please... no hospital or doctors. I would rather just rest right now," she begged him.
His arms tightened around her as he cupped her cheeks, "Queenie, will you really be fine? Tell me what it is. Tell me what I can do to make you feel better."
Her eyes glistened with tears as she replied, "Kiss me."
