"The first memory I remember is the white ceiling, bright light, and the four white walls in the surroundings," Phoenix started her tale.
She looked around the room she was in; she was thankful that it was a VVIP room. The decor was grandiose, with colours and paintings on the wall, unlike the normal hospital rooms, where it was all white.
Guess that was why she wasn't feeling as suffocated as she usually was, or maybe she had slowly pulled out of the trauma with Ashton's presence around her.
Whatever it was, she was no longer that small kid that was scared of the white walls.
"Following that, there're sounds of machines beeping in a rhythmic tone," Phoenix's eyes were looking far up the ceiling. The glow in the dark stars was scattered on the dark blue painted ceiling, imitating the night sky. This was far different from what she experienced in her past.
