Chapter 4 - Good-looking

We got to my house before a heavy downpour started. I didn't know whether to be happy for the luck of having avoided it or depressed that I would have to put up with Cale for the night. "What got you so agitated back there anyways? It's so.. unlike you." True. He never beat up people to that point. "Has anything happened I am not aware of recently?" I asked.

"Jade… you really don't want to know the truth. I was just pissed by guys having nothing to do but pick up fights." I nodded in affirmation of his words.

"True… But you were careless nevertheless. I don't want to take care of your ass later if you're injured. Just make sure to not get hurt." I continued, glaring at his blood filled face. "Oh. Sit on the sofa, I'll be right back."

The First Aid kit was in the storage and I needed warm water and a towel. I thought I was treating a kid instead and chuckled at the thought.

He was a year younger than me anyways but for some reason he grew taller than me and looked much more mature. I envied him though I will never tell him that. It would just further boost his ego.

Blood ran from a slit near the left side of his forehead. It would be bad if it had been left untreated which for sure would be the case if I let him go home. I began the quick treatment trying to be as gentle as I could. Finally done.

I let out a short breath before looking him up once more. The hair covered it so naturally that it was a crime. I have actually never been this close to a person before. And he has more features than meets the eye.

A dot next to his eye thick brows. A slight shade of green in his gray pupils. His lips were more pink now than normal. He was bound to be an eye candy. But, how come I never see him with the ladies. I found it fascinating noticing things that no one else got to see. It felt like our little secret. Well, until he gets married anyways. The thought squeezed at my chest a little.

"Yo, you done there?" His voice was a little hoarser now. I just realized that I was already done with the treatment and my mind wandered off and I was staring away. Darn this auto- hands. "Loving the sight I see. Don't look at me like it is your first time seeing me."

"Don't blame me for something that is your fault. You must be quite the ladies man." I said it before noticing the suggestiveness. "Well… I mean you are surprisingly…han…good-looking. There you have it."

A smirk ever so slight formed on his lips before quickly biting it down. "Oh. I get it."

"Stop it." I did not want to be teased by this man, especially since it was him. "Btw. Are you gonna stay over? You don't plan on going out there right after treatment do you?"

"Stop the nagging. I've had it, you nag. So, can I stay over?"
