Six months ago...
Anastasia went inside the restroom after one of the boring classes, to revive her makeup. She heard a familiar voice coming from the other side of the wall.
"Brother, why don't you confess to her? That asshole Qiang is getting too close to her."
'Bella! Is she talking to Mr. Qin! Huh!"
She grabbed her mouth! The whole time that she was burning, either time she saw Dan and Qiang together, this was happening?
She controlled her breath not to make a noise, sharpening her ears, she heard more with closed eyes, squeezing her fist in rage.
"Listen, I don't trust the man you call brother, please keep her away from, Dan! You said she is important to you."
"I know, he is your brother. Ah... Don't make it complicated..."
"What? I am not in love with him, this is not jealousy!"
Bella sighed, "fine, let this be cut here. It is none of my business. From now on, I see her as my friend. I am not going to report you unless you don't believe me."
Cutting the call, Bella let out a slight scream out of anger.
"How should I tell you that they are engaged secretly, you will kill the guy!"
Anastasia winced back, hardly afforded to push her feelings back not to scream. Her knees were trembling as she couldn't find air to breathe, and she moved out in rush, not knowing where to go!
With her fingers shaking, she took out her car's remote. And headed to the parking, taking her cellphone out, she called her butler.
"Jay, come to this location." She quickly hung up and sent him the address she would go.
The wind pulled her hair around, she couldn't see the path, scrambled, falling to the parking floor.
'How! Why? That snake Dan!' She squeezed the remote, cleaning her tears, and she attempted to stand up.
"I shouldn't cry, I am not weak. He doesn't love her, this can change. He was so nice to me. He took me out. He respected me, he treasured me. She had deceived him. He can't forget that I helped him."
Getting inside the car, she drove out of the university and went to the address she sent to Jay. He was there already, seeing the distressed girl, he came forward and hugged her. It was a quiet sea view location.
"Ann? Why are you?..."
"Shush, don't say it! Just hug me."
Jay caressed her hair, she was not like this, even the moments Mr. Chen used to slap her for her mistakes and grades, she wouldn't cry. What did happen now?
"They had engaged in hidden. I did my best to satisfy his family, I endured so much pain but she had stolen him from me."
Jay's hand numbed, and his hand dropped on her shoulders. Releasing her from his arms, he looked down into her eyes.
"I was with you since I was in high school, I had never seen these tears since then. Spare them for someone valuable not him. He doesn't deserve your love, I've told you before."
She slapped his hand and paced a few steps away. Her expression ran wild, "who deserves it? You? My heart wants him, he cares about me."
Jay's face ran desperate, why couldn't she stop lowering him? She barely knew about him? Didn't even bother to ask who was his family, why was he always beside her?
"Fine, I will do what you wish, Ann! What should I do?"
"Qin Hu, he loves the girl and Qiang is his close friend."
"Don't tell me that I am facing a love triangle."
"Bella was spying on Dan for her brother but she couldn't tell him about this engagement. I will make Dan confess to me about the engagement."
Jay tilted his head, what she was weaving in her head was dangerous. She wanted to make the men turn against each other.
"Jay, we must talk to Mr. Qin! Come on."
She looked at the edge of the chasm, the sea was glowing gold with the reflection of sunset rays.
"I'll drive, you will kill us both."
She nodded and they got inside the car. He drove them to the center where a huge building belonged to the River group.
When they arrived, she got down and went inside after surveying there, they said that he had returned home already.
Anastasia felt the dizziness of despair, the man he loved was slipping from her hand.
Jay couldn't see her like this, she had never shown such a fragile face of herself.
"I know where his place is, would you want to go there?"
She took hold of his sleeve and pleaded with him,
"Yes, take me there, I will repay your favor."
Taking her hand, he shook his head, this wasn't love. This was a huge mistake she was about to commit. She didn't want to lose, that toxic liking had come to this place. Her heart was poisoned by wrong feelings, she wanted to win Dandan. Everyone was nice to that girl and she was yearning to have them. It did all happen to this girl because of her parent's behavior, and their high expectations. He was burning inside, how could he show her true love?
Without any protest, he took the girl to the main skyscraper. There he saw Mr. Qin's butler that drove the car out of a line of cars.
"Follow them, I must talk to him tonight. I must convince him that Dan is a wench."
Jay had no other choice but fulfilling her wish.
They entered one of the districts, downtown, where not everyone preferred to come in such a stinky bad place, here only criminals used to live, house of Mafias who used to rule here. She frowned, "don't tell me that he is here to spend the night in some whore rooms!"
"Isn't it nasty!" Jay remarked.
"It is awful, but some rich men like him are weird."
"Yes, the guy you love is a gambler too!"
"Shut up, Jay! Let's see what they want to do."
They kept tracking them until they saw them wearing masks and getting inside a building, their guns glinted as the light cast on them.
"Oh, the game is truly nasty, they have guns, not just them, many people have guns in here, let's get back, this is freaking dangerous."
'Everyone has secrets, and I need this to get rid of Dan or possibly Hu, my father's favorite person.'
"No, we'll stay, now record this."
Saying that, on the front building, the glass of the window broke and a man was tossed out. He cried out as the sound of bone cracking resonated.
It was a two-story building but Qin Hu jumped down the window as if a piece of cake, after the man, repeated Victor Liu.
"Hell, who are they? Devils?" Ann murmured.
"Who killed Tian Taio?" Grabbing the man's neck Hu asked.
'Who? Why is the surname similar to Dandan?!'
