Chapter 14 - Stop calling me Lisa

"The people that I'm sending are more professional and trustworthy than you guys and so are the people flying and attending to her on the plane. Another thing, Flo, do you know me? If you ever saw me did, I look poor to you?"

"I…" She couldn't say what she wanted because Lisa stopped her.

"That's it for now, we will talk more once I get to that side," (hangs up the call).

Lisa had stopped Flora from exchanging words back and forth with Anne because as much as she sounded friendly, she wasn't asking but giving commands. When she does that there will be no room for arguments or questions and the more one tries to oppose, he or she will be regarded as an enemy and nothing good will come out of it. After witnessing this a lot of questions began to churn and burn inside Flo's heart and mind and she didn't know which one to ask first. She then decided to try the simplest of them all.

(Looking at Lisa with expectant eyes) "Lisa something about you is a bit off, mind telling me what's going on?"

(Holding her head with both hands, squatting) "My head is burning; can you please be quiet in the meantime."

(Confused) "Oh, okay, are you having a migraine?"

(Still holding her head) "Yeah.."

(Concerned) "Okay let me bring you some pills."

(Annoyed) "No need.."

(Confused and concerned) "But why, you…"

(Agitated) "QUIET, (in a low and calm voice) you are so annoying just let me be for 10 minutes."

(After 10 minutes)

"Are you okay Lisa?"

She didn't reply, she just stood from where she was squatting, looked at Flora, and lifted her eyebrows showing that she was okay and didn't want to be bothered. However, Flo was now scared and quite confused because the person standing in front of her wasn't the Lisa that she knew or know. She tried by all means not to get her pissed but she couldn't help it.

"Lisa, who are you exactly?"

(Not bothered by the question and looking outside through the window) "I need you to sign Tasha's transfer papers as soon as possible." Her voice was calm but it was so heavy that the commands she was giving no one would dare to oppose.

This Lisa was way more different from the one she was talking to earlier, it's like she was witnessing the other side of the coin. She just obediently went out of the office and began to process all the necessary documents needed for the transfer to happen. She then bumped into doctor Ed who was about to go home.

"Evening doctor Flo."

"Evening doctor Ed."

"Doc Flo, what are those papers in your hands for?"

"Tasha's transfer papers…"

"What, why are you transferring her and why now when her life is still at risk?"

"Are you listening to yourself, Ed? That risk is the reason she has to be transferred…"

"I understand but moving her might cause more damage, remember she is on a life support system and you know how dangerous it is to move a patient under such circumstances."

"I understand but after the previous events, tell me which family member would just sit and fold their hands whilst their loved one's life is being targeted?"

"I know, but right now is not the right time and I do not agree…"

"Why won't you agree, aren't you grateful that her family didn't sue us for what happened, or do you know something that I don't?"

"I am very grateful, also I am not a suspect here but just someone who is trying to do his job properly and accordingly."

"It's alright doctor of the year, either you agree or not the patient is going to be transferred…"

"Flo I am begging you, don't make things hard for the both of us…"

"I honestly don't want to argue with you Ed, follow me," she said leading him to her office.

They got inside and found Lisa sitting on the chair with her legs crossed, she was so calm but her face was stern and the aura that was coming from her was unfriendly.

(Handing the papers to Lisa) "We have a problem; (pointing at Ed) this top doctor is disagreeing with the idea of transferring Tasha and he is even threatening my position…"

"Hi, I'm doctor Ed the one that took over…"

(Annoyed and looking at doctor Ed with contempt) "Hit the nail on the head," said Lisa leaning on the chair.

"Okay, you can't transfer her now because that might put her life at risk and the possibility of losing her is more than 50%."

"Heh, the only person that we might lose is you doctor Ed, not my sister."

(Surprised) "Meaning?"

"Meaning if you know what's best for you and also value your life as well as those that you love you better let me take my sister."

"Are you threatening me!?

"We are not quarreling doc and I'm not threatening you; I'm just enlightening you there is no need to shout."

"If that's the case then I shall inform the authorities because we were not even supposed to do anything before getting a police report, however, because we save lives we decided to go on and attend to your sister. Moreover, I'm beginning to suspect that you have a hand…"

He couldn't finish what he wanted to say in just a blink of an eye a hand was on his throat, his body pressed against the door. Cold eyes were looking into his eyes and this person didn't seem like someone would let him go easily. Doctor Flo was so stunned that she couldn't move or speak and couldn't do anything to help Ed.

"Hehehe, doctor Ed, I don't think you have fallen for my sister, have you? Stop being a busy body, be a good boy and just let this matter go. I'm so disappointed, I thought as a top doctor you would be smart enough to weigh your advantages and disadvantages."

(Struggling to speak and also fighting to remove the hand on his neck) "W..hath are..(coughing) you..do…wing?"

"You seemed not to understand human language earlier so I chose to juggle your IQ the hard way, now listen and listen well, after I let you go, I need you to forget about my sister's matter because she is not your patient anymore. The papers have been signed and in a few minutes, she will be out of here, besides informing authorities means the whole hospital is going down for breaking rules and also for what happened to Tasha earlier. The big question is (smirking) are you ready for what will be coming for you doc?"

(Letting go of the doctor's neck)

"Thank you very much doctor, Ed, for your concern and I know you are trying by all means to protect the patient but I guess you can agree with me that you guys have already failed us. I don't want to be angry because you might end up in the same condition as my sister. Now Ed, LEAVE," said Lisa pointing at the door.

He didn't want to argue anymore and he quickly left the office. Flora was stunned to speak, it felt like she was watching a movie. The timid, bubbly, sweet Lisa had turned to be a cold and strong someone she didn't know.

(Sitting on the chair acting as if nothing happened) Flo since yesterday you haven't been working why?

(Confused) "Is that all that you have to say?"

(Not moved or concerned) "What time is it now?"

(Sighing, checking her wristwatch) "9.50 pm."

"Very well, the guys are always punctual and before they carry out their duty I need to do an assessment first, so I am going to wait outside."

"Why are you avoiding my questions, Lisa? I also think doctor Ed will not give up on this issue just like that."

"You ask too many questions and also even if you lose your job Midnight will take care of you, let us focus on Tasha, for now, the rest we will take care of it once Anne arrives."

"Okay, Lisa can I come with you outside?"

"Suit yourself and stop calling me Lisa."

(Surprised and confused) "Huh?"

"Yeah, I know you are not dumb, Lisa and I are two different people and you have noticed that already."

"So…who…who…are you?"

"I'm Ghost…"

"Heh, what kind of a name is that?"

"That doesn't matter (moving forward), are you coming or not ?"

"(Catching up with her) I…I am, so you mean you have something like a personality disorder?"

(Staring at her with cold eyes) "Call me a disorder one more time and I will send you to your maker without thinking twice. I am she; she is me but different, don't get it twisted or confused." Her voice was cold too and it had some kind of authority that would make one not argue anymore.

They headed to the entrance and waited for 5 minutes, and by 10 pm on the dot, a black van with tinted windows and no number plate arrived. The driver didn't intend to stop the vehicle in the parking lot, he proceeded and stopped close to the entrance. In a few seconds, six gentlemen dressed in casual all black, pushing a first-class stretcher, holding the best necessary equipment for life support and patient transfer, came out and walked toward Lisa(Ghost) in uniform.
