Anne left the van and went on to check if her subordinates were done doing what they had been instructed and she found that they had done their jobs very well. She then came back to the van and removed all the tape that was binding Flo's hands, and legs and also sealing her mouth. She then carried her from the van up to her door and left her close to Ghost.
"Hacker, Eraser, and Cleaner, I want you guys to pack all our belongings that are in this house and put them at the back of my van. Ghost, I need you to make sure that stupid doctor takes a hot shower, she has my fingerprints on her and also get the clothes and shoes that she is wearing and destroy them. Before you proceed, I won't be getting into the house so make sure when everything is done you clean again, don't leave traces don't forget that. Also, Flo, I have prepared some food it's safe to eat, I know you are starving right now. Another thing, if you want to hear my last words you may see me off later when we are about to leave," she said heading back to the van this time she was going to the front and she went on and sat on the driver's seat.
They all went on and began to do just as they were instructed. Ghost didn't leave Flo's sight until she was sure that she was clean, she took her clothes and shoes which she was going to destroy later. After everything was done, everyone was set to go and Flo came to see them off.
"Flora it was nice meeting and knowing you. Thank you for being there for Tasha and taking care of her and also thank you for what you did at the hospital that was brilliant. Let me also take this moment to apologize to you for showing you my other side and maltreating you, it's very unfortunate that in war deaths and casualties those things cannot be avoided. Anne and others couldn't believe their ears, they were so expectant but the result between expectation and reality was way more different just like heaven and earth. They all couldn't hold themselves, they laughed so hard that Flo ended up feeling embarrassed.
(Still laughing) "Stupid doctor, if I it was possible I would check your temperature right now, are you sure you are okay, are you traumatized or going insane, did I scare you that much such that you are going insane all of a sudden? I know the questions are too many but I just can't help it. Not only are you stupid, but you are also funny. Flora didn't say a word after that, she just nodded in agreement. After the goodbyes everyone got into their cars, only Ghost and Anne were in the van. Finally, Flora's nightmare was over but how her friendship with Anne and Ghost ended caused so much pain to her. Another thing, she couldn't get over Anne's past story, her mind was in so much chaos. On the other hand, Hacker, Eraser, and Cleaner went to their homes yet Anne and Ghost went to their private base, which is a house that is built on top of the mountains. It was all Anne's idea because she said it will be easy to spot intruders from afar and also, it's way safer and not crowded since not all people enjoy mountain top houses. They reached their house and offloaded their bags as they were going to be spending a lot of days there until their job is finished. They spent some hours planning and strategizing how they were going to take care of things as well as analyzing the information that they had collected. Then later in the evening Ghost visited doctor Ed's place.
Ed had finished work around 11.30 pm, and by the time he reached home, it was already midnight. After parking his car and heading into his house, he noticed a black motorcycle in his driveway. As he was about to think about it he then brushed the issue away because he had thought that maybe one of his neighbors had a visitor and that would probably be the owner of the bike. The moment he opened his door and closed it from the inside, he felt a tight grip, an arm was wrapped around his shoulders and something cold was touching his right cheek.
"Make a sound or switch on the lights and I will blow your brains," said the intruder.
He was so shocked to death that he couldn't move or say anything, he just froze.
"Move and let's go into your office and have a chat there," said the intruder pushing him with her body.
They walked together from the lounge to the door that was facing the lounge, Ed, unlocked the door with the key that was among the keys he was holding in his hands.
"I need you to lock the door and give me the keys," commanded the intruder.
He did as he was instructed and handed her the keys, then he sat down on the chair that was in front of the desk and she went on and took his chair behind the desk.
"I know you are not stupid and by now you have recognized me by my voice, isn't it doc Edward, Edwards?" She said with her legs on the table, leaning on the soft and comfortable chair and her hands touching the back of her head.
"I…ah…well…I…guess…I guess so."
"And do you know why I am here?"
(Hesitant) "Maybe…"
"Very well then, you see I don't like violence because I hate to see blood. So, tell me what should I do with you?"
(Confused) "I don't understand, what do you mean?"
"I had a very long day don't be stupid and don't waste my time, here drink this," she said handing him over a small bottle.
(Looking at the bottle, being reluctant to receive) "Wha…what is that?"
"I can see you are stupid, by now you should have noticed that I do not say things twice, I guess we will do this the hard way," she said standing and going to where Ed was sitting.
He tried to run but unfortunately for him, he got a kick which forced him to hit the ground. Ghost then forced the contents that were in the bottle into his mouth, she forcefully closed his mouth with her hand that was covered with a black glove and she let him go after she was sure that he had swallowed everything."
"Now, what you have swallowed is a poison with a name that you don't need to know. No one has the antidote for that poison, if you try to use any other chemical, you will speed up the poison's reaction and that might kill you sooner than expected. (In haste) "Yes, yes, I will do just as you said," he said trying to nod and show that he wasn't objecting.
"Very well then, that pill will show effect after 48 hours so you have only a maximum of 2 days. Failure to do just as we agreed, well sorry but not sorry."
"How will I get the antidote?"
"Don't worry about that, just don't fail to do your job," she said unlocking the doctor and disappearing without any other word.
After a few minutes, all that doctor Ed could hear was the sound of the motorcycle. He was still in shock, he couldn't stand from where he was, he just closed his eyes and slept for some minutes. Later he then woke up, gathered the courage to stand up, and began to look around. He checked his cameras but it looked like they had stopped working a while ago and the intruder wasn't recorded at all. He checked his doors and there was no sign of a break-in, this gave him some chills.
