Chapter 51 - Chapter 50

"It's been a while." Chen Wei spoke to the young looking boy that began to trot himself into Chen Wei's room. The man's spiked blue hair and golden eyes traced the figure of the boy as he closed the distance. Suddenly in a burst of golden light the boy's ears turned into those of a fox and his back side carried nine fox tails.

Aki's small body released a low growl from his throat as his ears pinned back against his head. His eyes were glaring at Chen Wei with a questioning look as if he was warning him to mind his actions. Without a warning Chen Wei's palm flopped itself down on top of Aki's head and stroked his hair carefully. His golden clothing which was trimmed in green gave Chen Wei the feel of a man who was free in his actions.

"I'm surprised you're coming to me so soon.. Did they figure out who you are already?" Chen Wei casually laughed as he spoke to Aki.

"Of course not! Can't I just feel like visiting an old friend?" Aki popped a sucker into his mouth as he glanced across the room at the sleeping man on Chen Wei's bed. "You're as carefree as ever."

"You have no room to speak about my freedom when you're warming a mortal's bed yourself." Chen Wei was probably the person who knew the most about Aki Kitsune and that included the fox boy's personal life. He was not the type of person to let someone close to him without keeping an eye on the things that went on in their lives.

"Touche," Aki sighed to himself as he toyed with the sucker on the tip of his tongue. "He's just a way to kill time."

"You don't even buy your own words, do you?" Chen Wei smiled at the thought that Aki would try to really think of Felix in such a manner. He knew how many years Aki had been putting Felix on a pedestal in his life whether he wanted to admit to it or not.

"Shut up, I'm not like you mortals. Once I'm done doing what I've been working towards here I wont even be in your world anymore." Aki Kitsune scoffed to himself as he folded his arms.

"You're really not honest with yourself at all. What are you doing here anyways? Don't you have Felix waiting for you at home this late?"

"I need your help with something." Aki suddenly brightened up like a light bulb as he recalled why he had come to Chen Wei's place.

"Somehow when you're the one asking for help with something it sounds like I should be preparing for something traumatic to happen around me." Chen Wei felt the sudden urge to pause on the idea of helping Aki with anything. He was aware of the fact that Aki Kitsune liked to involve himself in troublesome affairs.

"It's nothing that will get you in that much trouble, I swear! Please!" Aki leaned forward over Chen Wei's lap as his eyes filled with desire to accomplish his goals.

"Fine, Just tell me what you need me to do.." Chen Wei grit his teeth as he could already feel a migraine creeping up into his head.

"Well! You're going to the Yang sect's event coming up right?" Aki's nine tails began to wag excitedly as he started to talk Chen Wei into helping him.

Later that night after Aki Kitsune had left Chen Wei found himself standing in front of the window. His golden eyes gazed out at the horizon as he listened to the rustling sound of the man waking up on his bed. The man's long black hair slid from his shoulders as he leaned up to glance at Chen Wei. From a glance it was obvious that the man was still half asleep while trying to recall his surroundings.

"Well good morning, Oliver." Chen Wei smiled happily over at the half asleep man, Oliver Iker.

"It's still this dark out and you're telling me it's morning.. You're jokes never cease.." Oliver Iker huffed out his annoyance at the thought of being forced to wake up in the middle of the night because of Chen Wei's twisted jokes.

"Ah, Come on.. You love my crazy jokes, right?" Chen Wei laughed to himself as he knew the man would never give him an honest answer.

"Your jokes.. I hate them.." Oliver grunted out the words as he rolls over onto his back. His grey suit was ruffled open just enough to expose his chest causing Chen Wei's own body to shudder his mind raced with many ideas in mind.

"If you roll around like that you're going to get sick. Oliver, that boy.. He's going after the Kaen sect during the Yang sect's event.. are you-" Chen Wei tried to avert his eyes from Oliver as he spoke.

"Kaen?" Oliver's eyes burst open as he quickly sat up while glaring at Chen Wei with expectant eyes.

"I take it you're wanting involved?" Chen Wei knew before he even mentioned getting involved that if it had to do with Kaen sect that Oliver would want to get involved.

"If Kaen is going to be there at the Yang sect then I am going to naturally be there. You know I can't rest while they are still out there.." Oliver grit his teeth as he thought back at his own past.

He may be a teacher, but Oliver in his past had once been a member of the Kaen sect. There were many things he could recall in his life and being involved with Kaen was the one thing he regretted more then anything in his life. After Oliver's family had been brutally killed in front of him by the Kaen sect when he refused to do a task they set for him he had been tossed aside for death until Chen Wei had found Oliver Iker at his lowest point in life and taken him under his wing. Oliver Iker no longer considered himself to be under any sect and spent most of his time fighting off Kaen members whenever they came across him.

Nobody knew what all happened in Oliver Iker's past and the number of people who knew what really went down to cause the Kaen's to slaughter Iker's family and leave him for dead that day, but the one thing that Chen Wei and other's who knew Oliver knew for sure was that Oliver was determined to die while fighting to take down the Kaen Sect. He had no self desire to live his own life and only desired to take down those who killed his family. Oliver knew what it was like to be a man in love, a father, a son, he knew it all and he knew what it was to loose every bit of it. It was like a self destructive disease that could eat away at your soul if you let it. It was the very self destructive thing that Chen Wei fought for months to help Oliver suppress before it destroyed him.

"Oliver, you must remember that revenge can be a two sided sword." Chen Wei stated calmly.
