Chapter 7 - An Unexpected Guest

Remulus sips the cup of tea before him. His smile is wide as he turns to the said god. The finely dressed gentleman whose clothing barely hid the bulging muscle underneath.

"I have heard that there was a blonde bombshell that came here? Where is she?" Zeus shouts. His blue eyes holding lightning in them.

Remulus chuckles at the unusual entrance. "I don't know what you're talking about. The only blonde ones here are little girls."

Attie gasps, "Grandfather! How could you!?" She holds her arms over her chest, "Was all that time you carried me? Did all those hide some malicious intent?"

Zeus lets out a jolly laugh. "Hahaha!" He shook his head while walking to her side, intent on giving her a hug. "You and your jokes, granddaughter. It is an absolute delight to see you again."

Remulus, who sat beside her, spoke. "Could you please not? As a father, I would want my daughter as far from you as possible."

Zeus laughs louder, ruffling Attie's hair as he passes her. "Kahaha, still the same, huh?" He sits and looks to his side and asks, "How about you, Vlad? How have you been?"

Vlad glares as he downs another glass, his middle finger raised. "Fuck off."

Zeus chuckles, "Well, hello to you too." He then takes one of the plates, eating into it as he points to Arthur. "Who is he?"

Remulus smiles, "My adopted child, Arthur Pennyworth."

"Ah, Pendragon it is, then." He frowns, his eyes then turns stormy. "What are you planning, Remulus? What sort of scheme do you have in mind this time?"

"I have no idea what you mean?" Remulus gives him an innocent smile.

The room's atmosphere then thickens. Arthur's hair stand in attention as he looks at the powerful men before him. He whispers to Attie, their voice out of earshot. "Should we stay here?"

"You'll get used to it." She then looks at Remulus' smile. "If anything. He wants you to watch closely. He did say this would be a learning experience."

Arthur gives a nod, "Well, it's an experience alright."

"In time you'll get used to it, used to the fake smiles. The threats behind their words, the scheming, the power play, all of it."

"For real." Arthur raises an eyebrow.

"Yup, it happens." Attie shrugs.

A voice then cuts through, "How about you shut the fuck up!?"

Zeus turns to Vlad, his expression now stormy. "What's your problem?"

Remulus shrugs. "He hates all cheating bastards. Well, with your reputation, you're the biggest cheating bastard we know."

"What!? I didn't do anything of the sort!" Zeus shouts back in vitriol.

Remulus laughs, "Who's bed did you wake up in again today?"

He shouts, "That's beside the point! She didn't sleep with Zeus, she slept with the handsome actor, John Anderson. It's totally different, and it's not cheating."

The soft click made him turn to see the wide grin Attie held. "Yup, Hera is obviously going to believe in what bullshit you spout, gramps." She types in her phone. "I wonder what she'll do."

Zeus' expression falters, "Fine. what do you want?"

"All my responsibilities in Olympus are to be invalidated for a decade. That means no assassinations, no intimidations and no parties to attend."

"No way, I'm not the king anymore. I can't just demand this off of my daughter. Your responsibility to Olympus is tradition! Assassinations and intimidation are the name of the game!"

He looks at her, pleading. "Your mother did it when she was born, your uncles and aunts did it when they were born. It's an honored tradition! She'll kill me if I stop that."

"Grandfather, I have no problem murdering and intimidating pieces of shit. Shit! If anything, those are my favorite parts,"

Attie then holds her hand together, tearing up, "I just don't want to join her meetings and socializing! For fuck's sake, they're so boring! I might actually die!"

Zeus nods sagely, "I agree. Those are really boring. But they're part of your lesson! One that you must take as a princess! So, I will decline your-"

Attie then raises her chin up as she the phone rises above her head, "Oh no, I seem to be getting dizzy. My finger is inching closer at the send button on my phone."

"Fine! eight years!"

She reaches her arm out. "DEAL!"

Zeus shakes her hand. "I'll bring it up to your mother. Though she won't be happy about this."

Attie snorts, "She isn't happy about anything."

He still, before letting out a sigh. "Attie, your mother loves you. She just has a different way of showing it."

Remulus spoke up, "A shitty way of showing it."

Attie giggles at the thought before returning to her meal. Her eyes turned away from the furious expression Zeus held as he glared at Remulus.

"Please avoid badmouthing my daughter in front of me or her child."

"I have not told a lie, have I?" Remulus once more smiles.

"Yeah!" Vlad shouts, blood and wine leaking from his mouth. "Yeah, that bitch of a daughter of yours, Is a fucking bitch! Like a huge fucking bitch."

He groans, "What kind of fucked up mind do you even have to try and erase your daughter's personality?" He groggily slams the glass in his hand, "What the hell! That's so fucked up!"

Attie lowers her head and tries to make herself small at the reminder. A fact both of them noticed as Remulus glares at Vlad and Zeus hits him at the back of his head.

Zeus crosses his arms. "An act she'll never try again."

"Because she won't get a chance to even try." Remulus replies, his eyes glaring a hole at the man before him, his eyes promising pain, otherwise.

Zeus glares back before nodding, "An act she'll never get to try."

Vlad though, who was puking, rubbed his forehead as he shouts, "Jeez, almost sent me to heaven with that hit in the head."

"I assure you, you won't be going to heaven." A voice snidely remarks as the door opens.

Everyone then turns to the voice, everyone but Remulus, who continued to eat as he gives out an exasperated sigh, a migraine forming in his head.

"Who's the blondie?" Arthur whispers to Attie.

She looks up from her meal, her eyes trying to look away. "That's Archangel Michael. Lord of Heaven. The Strongest of the Angels."

"Like Heaven, that Heaven?"

"Yes, though. It's mostly ruled by the angels in it."

"Holy-" He stops himself as he glances at Michael, his tongue caught in his throat as he gives Arthur a smile, "Uh, I mean. Holy water."

He takes the cup before him and drinks it, coughing as he turns away from the pressure the angel exuded, his eyes at his sister.

Attie rubs his back using her gravy covered hand, "There, there. He isn't the strongest Angel for nothing, heh." She wipes the rest off his back.

"I hate you sometimes."

"Lord Michael!" Vlad stands, his eyes wide as the man stood before them. A man with gold, resplendent locks, one whose eyes shined like diamonds as he walked through the door.

His beauty was mesmerizing as he seemingly flowed, his robes hiding the feet underneath.

Remulus spoke, "If you sit beside me, I will kill you."

Michael stops in his tracks, his eyes locking onto his before turning to the side, sitting beside Vlad who looks at Remulus, flabbergasted.

Zeus though, smirks, "Oh? Has Heaven finally decided they hate you?"

Michael waves away such a thought, "None of the sort. We merely have a personal situation before us, one that I wish to rectify here."

Vlad though, now sobered up as magic circulates through his system, a serious expression on him. "Then there will be no problem with Aetherius and Heaven?" He glances at Remulus, "Because if there is, then as part of the council, I deserve to know such altercations."

Remulus shakes his head. "Nothing of the sort."

Michael, though, then turns his smile to Attie, "So, is this the child of the great Emperor Remulus? I would have thought she'll look different."

Remulus remains unexpressive as Zeus shouts, "Hahaha! It's most likely the Olympian blood in her. Making her as awesome as she can be."

Michael then smirks at Remulus, "Though, I never thought you would ever sleep with Athena." He taps the table in thought. "I would have thought you hated each other."

Remulus remains silent for a moment, his eyes locking with his as his expression worsens. "Why should you concern yourself with whoever I sleep with?"

Michael gives out an unfamiliar smirk. "I did get first dibs, didn't I?"

"...." "...." "...." "...." An uncomfortable silence then dominated the room as its occupants processed the new information presented to them.

Zeus was the first one to speak up. "Heh. Finally got loose, huh?"

Vlad, though, remains with wide eyes and open mouth, his eyes jumping off its sockets as he mutters, "This is going to be a good story for Rosalie."

Arthur and Attie just looks at Remulus, whose eyes remain distant as he looks at Michael, his expression never once leaving for an opening.

Though with such Michael chuckles, with soft melodious laughter echoing through the room, he spoke, "Oh my, have you already forgotten our promise?"

Michael stood, walking behind Vlad and Zeus, both of which froze at the laughter, their expression turning grim at the sudden realization.

Remulus then spoke, his voice now filled with icy rage as it cuts through the laughter, "If you take a single step closer to my children. You will die."

Michael then turns to him, his eyes turning pink in sadistic delight. "Oh really? Even though I'm here to make amends? How cruel."

Zeus stands up, electricity arcing around him. "Take a seat."

Vlad glances at him, blood pooling at his feet. "We insist."

Michael huffs, "You guys are no fun." He spins back to his seat, everything around him fading through a smoke, twisting and turning into a woman with pink hair, one whose seductive smile turns to them as she waves, "Hello."

Remulus spoke, "Asmodeus. What do you want?"
