Corey and Benjamin stared each other down. Corey clutched the withering arm. He eventually let it fall beside him.
Corey held up his scythe. Benjamin readied himself. "Shattering strike," Corey yelled. He lunged at Benjamin and missed.
Benjamin wondered what was going on before having his back slashed by Corey. The slash did more damage than Benjamin would have realized. Corey teleported to the clone he had sent in front of Benjamin. "Now, realm warp!" Corey yelled. The space around Benjamin twisted and changed.
He then found himself in the mirror dimension. Several mirrors were angled at him. Several Corey clones grabbed him and held him in place. Suddenly a huge beam of light came from the top of the mirror realm and bounced off several mirrors.
The beam split off of each mirror until there were almost 20 individual beams of light.
They all bounced off the closest mirror and were sent towards Benjamin. He summoned the only shadow he had on him and surrounded himself with it. The light burned through the shadow completely vaporizing it. However, since the beam had hit the shadow, the explosion was the only thing that hit Benjamin.
Benjamin was blasted back into our reality. He flew several yards and crashed into the ground, splintering it. Benjamin stood up and wiped the blood from his mouth. "What are you playing with that Corey?!?" Benjamin yelled. Corey just narrowed his eyes at Benjamin. To say that Benjamin was angry would be an understatement.
He was livid. "Let's do this," Benjamin said. "Come through the darkened gates, my shadows." It was as if the floor was covered in oil. The floor and walls were covered in shadows. "Sovereigns Domination!!!" Benjamin yelled. All of the shadows lunged at Corey who could do nothing to dodge them.
The shadows slashed Corey with their swords and disappeared. Every last shadow hit Corey until none were left. The broken war was glowing black and a crown had appeared above Benjamin's head.
Benjamin then lunged at Corey and slashed him with broken war. Before he could hit Corey however, a clone jumped in front of him and blocked the blow. The direct hit from broken war shattered the clone into pieces that turned to ash on the floor. A black wave of energy was sent backward from where the clone had been hit that stuck Corey.
Corey was blasted back and hit the ground. Corey slid through the floor and came to a stop on the edge of the gym floor. Good thing that missed, Benjamin thought. Corey stood up wheezing. The wither effect was a bit faster now and the slash had grown bigger. Corey began to glow with a blue-gray aura around him.
Corey stared directly at Benjamin, the aura slightly blowing his clothes. Benjamin felt his aura rise too. A black aura surrounded him, blowing his hair. The black crown on his head gleamed in the light. Suddenly they both lunged.
Corey with a scythe in hand slashed at Benjamin. Benjamin slashed with Broken War. There was a rushing sound and then a massive explosion that kicked up dust and debris, forming giant clouds. When the dust settled, it was revealed that Velena was in between the two, holding both of their blades back with his hands. Velena was visibly shaken, blood trickling from his hands down his arms.
Both Corey and Benjamin dropped their weapons. "Velena are you okay," Benjamin asked frantically. The wounds on his hands had already healed though. Velena checked out his hands and rubbed them. "If you both hadn't reduced your strength, I would have been killed."
He turned to Corey and began to heal the wither effect Benjamin had placed on him. "We may have gotten a bit out of there," Corey said, rubbing the back of his head. "You can say that again," Benjamin replied laughing. "How come you didn't use that move when we were fighting, huh Benjamin?"
Evan asked while he was approaching everyone else. "To be honest with you Evan, I was holding back," Benjamin said. Looked dumbfounded for a second then went over to the bleachers and sat down, looking angry. "Well looks like it's Isaiah and Charles' turn,'' Jackie said, watching Evan leave.
She turned to Charles and Isaiah and said, "I'm not breaking up your fight, got it?" Isaiah turned to Charles, grinning. His eyes were glowing red while Charles's were glowing white.
"Got it," they both said. Charles and Isaiah walked to opposite ends of the court. "Let's see if my training has been doing anything for you Isaiah," Charles said, cracking his knuckles and his neck.
Isaiah stretched his legs. "You got it, buddy," Isaiah replied. The two finished stretching and waited for the all-clear. "Ready… Go!!!" Corey yelled.
Isaiah threw a lob of antimatter at Charles. Charles manipulated his phone to form a dome around him. Upon contact, the antimatter exploded. Thanks to Charles's dome he was fine but as soon as him reverted it he was hit from behind with Isaiah's mace.
The force of the blow was so tremendous that the gym was shaking but Charles didn't even seemed to be fazed.
Charles already made a layer of protect using the gym floor anchoring him to the ground. Isaiah launched several balls of antimatter at Charles. Charles twisted and turned in midair to dodge them. The balls hit the ceiling and exploded, creating a massive bright red explosion.
Charles pulled out his sword and formed it into a hammer. He lunged at Isaiah and slammed the hammer into his chest knocking him directly into the air.
Charles reformed his sword and jumped up to meet Isaiah. Isaiah however expected this. Isaiah fired a ball of antimatter at Charles that he couldn't avoid. The antimatter hit him square in the chest and the resulting explosion sent him flying into the ground but it wasn't Charles it was his phone he reformed to look like him.
Isaiah landed several yards away. The dust cloud surrounding Charles concealed him well so Isaiah hung back and waited for Charles to emerge. Out of nowhere Charles lunches at Isaiah and touches his arm turning inside out. Isaiah was was screaming in pain from the bloody mess that was left of his arm. "Stop whining" said Charles transforming his arm back.
He then trasformed his ring into armor. He extented the armor from he finger tips forming a cage around Isaiah. Then from his back he made wings but instead of feathers there were guns all pointed at Isaiah. "boring" Charles said in a annoyed tone and stopped his assault.
He turned around then Isaiah Charged his mace with antimatter and swung it at Charles. The mace created a blast that sent Charles flying across the gym, directly into the wall.
Charles smashed through the wall into the locker room on the other side. Isaiah landed on the ground and slid several feet before coming to a stop. "Nice, I win," Isaiah pants. Isaiah rushed over to the hole to see Charles crawling back through the wall.
"You just had to do it, didn't you," Charles said, brushing the dust off himself. "Sorry man," Isaiah replied. Benjamin walked over to where Charles and Isaiah were talking. "What was that last hit, Isaiah?" Benjamin asked him.
"I upgraded my mace. I can now charge it with antimatter allowing me to hit with devastating force," Isaiah explained. Benjamin nodded then looked over to Charles. "You good Charles?" Benjamin asked, helping him up. "Never better," Charles replied. "Hey, guys!" Isaiah said excitedly. When everyone turned to him he said, "We can go get our class types during lunch." Everyone went from intrigued to excited in a fraction of a second.
"This will be good," Corey said. "It'll determine what future careers we can go into," Xavier said. "Hopefully I don't get a bad one," Jackie said, nervously. "There's no such thing as a bad class Jackie," Isaiah said, waving his hand at her. The bell rang shortly after that.
"C'mon so we can get a good spot in line," Benjamin said. He grabbed his stuff and rushed over to the door to go and get the information that could change his life.
