Chapter 1 - 01: Arrival of the Space Pod. The Sayan Conspiracy!

The sun rose over the horizon, creating a clear blue sky over the mountainous area. Standing atop a cliff was a young man who was staring at the sky. He was wearing blue sweat pants, a blue shirt with short sleeves, and had short spiky hair. Terry Spade has lived here his whole life so the mountains were all he knew. He saw the same sky every day and yet was still fascinated with it no matter how many times he looked at it. That's perhaps his focus was on what's beyond the sky.

A girl appeared behind him and he sensed her, but did turn around or react in any way. The girl wore a gray plaid skirt and a white blouse. Leila Powers was Terry's friend since childhood, and just like him, the mountains were all she knew.

She stood next to him. "What are you looking at?"

Terry replied, "The sky. Isn't it beautiful? Hey, Leila, have you ever wondered about how big the universe is?"

"Well, I don't know." she answered. Why did he ask such a silly question? But it made her wonder about the possibilities as well. She too stared blankly at the vast endless blue sky. Then she snapped out of it and remembered her purpose in coming here. "Breakfast ready. Hurry or it'll get cold. Where's Piper and Zelfire?"

"They're sparring. Do you see them?"

"Where?" Leila turned her head to the right. "Man, there they go again."

Two men were standing at the roof of the temple at opposite ends, standing in fighting positions. Suddenly, they both jumped up and hit in the middle. Wham. They flew to the air and continued hitting each other with kicks and punches.

Piper was a young man around the same age as Terry. He wore a white karate uniform and had a ponytail. Zelfire wore the same white uniform. He wore a red headband. They both live in the same temple as Terry and they all study martial arts together and one could say they are lifelong friends and comrades. Leila also lived in the same temple, but unlike the others she had no ability or interest in martial arts. Besides Leila, all three were disciples of the same master.

All four of them were orphans, so they never knew their parents, but their master was like a foster father to them. They lived a simple life of training and eating three square meals a day and were generally happy. One day out of the blue, their master disappeared, leaving behind only a vague explanation. Despite that, the four orphans continued to live without him, believing that one day he will come back.

They flew backwards to gain some distance and charged into each other and attacked again. Pow pow whack! It may look intense to an outside, but they were going easy on each other.

Leila made it to the top floor of the temple and stuck half her body out the window. "Guys! It's time for breakfast!"

Upon hearing her voice, they stopped their movements immediately, freezing in the air. "We'll be right there." shouted Piper. He looked at Zelfire. "We better go. You know how she gets when we're late."

Zelfire nodded and both of them descended towards the temple.

Terry and the others began to eat breakfast together, as they do every morning. But this morning was different than others, as something appeared in the sky that will change the fate of these four…as well as the fate of the entire universe. Terry noticed a bright star falling from the sky and he stood up and ran to the fence. "Look guys!" They all saw it as well and to them it looked like a comet falling and leaving a trail of light.

"They say if you see a shooting star, make a wish and it'll come true." said Leila.

The four watched the comet pass by the sky in an arch until it vanished.

"What did you wish for?" Zelfire asked.

"To find Master Lang. Didn't you want the same thing?" Piper replied.

"Yeah." Zelfire replied. "What about you Leila?"

"I wished all of us will stay together forever." she answered.

"I think that's going to happen anyways, you didn't need to waste a wish." said Piper.

Before anyone could ask about Terry's wish, the comet crashed somewhere in the forest and created a huge explosion. The sky lit up as they watched in amazement and disbelief.

Naturally curious, the group of four went to the landing site, curious and excited about what they will find. Out of everyone, Terry Spade was the most excited as he was the one who was interested in outer space.

The collision created a huge crater the size of a house, and the deepest part was the center. Smoke and dust obscured their view and they did not see what was at the center. Zelfire slid down the crater to check it out, covering his face and coughing in the process. Like the others, he was expecting a meteor, but to his surprise, it was something else.

"It's not a meteor, it's an alien spaceship!" said Zelfire, surprising everyone.

"Say what?" asked a stunned Leila.

What they saw was a spherical pod painted in white with smoke coming out of every inch of it. There was a visible door as well as a symbol painted on it.

"Does this mean there's an alien inside?" Piper asked.

"The space pod is empty." said Zelfire.

"What should we do?" asked Leila.

Not long later, a truck took away the pod. It was taken into a laboratory in the city.

The alien, realizing that his pod had been taken away, said to himself, "So, the earthlings took my ship. I'll teach them a lesson they'll never forget. I'll teach them not to take other's things!...Once I get it back, there will be no more earth!! Stupid earthlings! Hahahaha!"

Several scientists were examining the pod as Spade and the others waited on the side. One of them went to the group and asked: "You discovered this thing?"

"Yeah, we did" answered Spade.

"You did? You're gonna be famous! You'll be known all over the nation for discovering this pod. You're gonna be on TV and news everywhere."

They all got excited. Terry was like, "Really?"

Suddenly the wall fell apart and smoke came out from the other side. On the other side there was a bright flash, and a dark, mysterious figure walked toward the pod. Everybody in the lab watched in fear as he approached them. The alien looked just like any other humanoid, except for the way he dressed. He had an alien warrior suit, with a mechanical device attached to his left eye and ear. He was taller than most of the people in the room.

"So, my ship is here. Get away from it!" he yelled at Spade. Zelfire, Piper and Leila were too scared to do anything. Their eyes were fixed on the alien.

Spade, scared like hell, and shaking, says "It's yours? ... Well, I didn't know. You c-c-can have it back." The four of them quickly ran and hid somewhere away from the scary alien.

One of the scientists courageously stood up to him. "You claim that this ship is yours? Well, can you prove it?" This angered him. He grabbed the sweating scientist by the neck and raised him. His feet were above the ground.

The alien said, "Get out of my way, puny earthling!" and tossed him across the room, leaving him unconscious. This made the security guys more scared. They fired their guns, but the suit protected him from the lasers. He grabbed the gun and squeezed it, until it turned into scrap metal. "Your weak earth weapons can't hurt me!" The security guards were trembling even more. He started assaulting everybody.

Spade, hiding, couldn't take it anymore, and decided to go to stop him. Leila grabbed him by the arm, "Are you crazy? What are you doing?"

"I can't let him hurt any more people. I've got to stop him."

Zelfire: "I know you're a great fighter, Spade, but you don't know what he's made of."

"I'll find out soon." He left them and bravely went toward the alien. He knew that if he didn't do anything, he would explode on the inside. Terry's motto has always been to defend and protect the weak and innocent, and he must stop this alien, he must. "Stop this now!" he shouted at the alien.

He turned around and stared at Spade for a few seconds, surprised by his bravery. With an average life, average friends, and a pretty face, he seems like an average guy, but he isn't. Spade, who had been superiorly trained by one of the greatest masters that ever lived, was confident in his skills. Those words echoed in his mind. Always wearing the light blue shirt and sweats, he looked as if he was ready to fight at anytime, anywhere.

(There's no way I can lose. No way.)

"What did you say?"

"Stop hurting these innocent people!"

"And what are you gonna do about it, earthling?"

"I'll do whatever it took to stop you!"

"Fine, then show me what you've got!" Seconds later, Spade ran towards him and made a punch, but he evaded, and punched him so hard that Spade was bounced from his fist to the wall across the room.

"Spade!" screamed Terry's friends together.

"Pathetic! That's all you've got?"

Spade laid there injured and weak, watched helplessly as he walked slowly towards him.

Suddenly, Zelfire and Piper jumped out and attacked. Renegade kicked and punched them away. Bam!

The alien proceeded to grab Spade by the shirt and laughed at him.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, a fireball flew between the two fighters. Renegade dropped Spade. "Who dares?"

"Hmmm, you never learn, Renegade. You're picking on weak humans. You think that makes you strong?" said the mysterious voice.

"Kane? What are you doing here?"

"To stop you and Destructo from destroying this planet." Kane was another alien, he was wearing the same suit as Renegade was. He also had a scouter on his left eye. He is extremely large, most of his body were composed of muscles, and he was bald.

"You are a fool, Kane, if you think you can defeat Destructo! This time, I'll make sure you die!"

It seemed that these aliens knew each other well. They started fighting. Spade watched in amazement, as he watched a fight like no other fight. Renegade and Kane exchanged punches, kicks, and energy blasts. They seemed evenly matched. Spade decided to help Kane. He ran, and landed a flying kick right on Renegade's face! The alien did not expect this from a human.

"Blast it! I can't believe this! ... You're lucky this time, Kane. I'll get you next time!" he flew out and made a hole in the ceiling.

Then Kane said to Spade, "Thanks for your help, human. I couldn't have done it without you."

"Oh, it was nothing."

"You're not a bad fighter at all. Any ways, don't let him get the space pod! He is evil! He plans to destroy this planet! I must go after him and stop him. See ya." Kane also flew out through the ceiling.

"They can fly too!" said Zelfire in shock.

This one day will change their lives forever.

Renegade returned to the landing site. Three other aliens were on the impact site. Two were sitting, one was standing, with arms crossed. They all wore the same suit, with the same colored scouter. Goldark, the biggest one of them and the toughest one had purple skin. Lance was the shortest one, but he looked tough with spiky hair. Aria was of average height, with some attitude.

"What's the matter, Ren? Why so blue?" asked Goldark.

"My name is Renegade, and shut up!"

"So, you let the puny Earthlings take your space pod?" Lance added with mockery, and all of them were laughing at him.

Aria: "What happened there? Didn't you go to get it back? Did the big bad humans hurt you?" They laughed at him again.

"I was attacked unexpectedly."

"By an earthling! You are a disgrace to us! Beaten by an earthling!" Goldark said.

Renegade: "He had help from Kane!"

Goldark: "Kane? He's here on earth? Even so, he is a low class soldier. I can't believe you have trouble with him! He is a weakling compared to us! You don't even deserve to be working for Destructo!"

"I can't believe Destructo ever depended on you to do anything important." Lance said.

"I'll figure out a way to get the ship back, and the Cyber suits! Just watch!!" Ren left them, humiliated and angry.
