Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

"She's back… Della Hernandez is back. That can't be. Why so soon?"

The tension was evident on Sarah's face. Accidentally, he saw Mitchell's ex-fiancé in front of his daughter's school. And it seems, Thalia is very familiar with him.

"Mom, i want to introduce her to you. She's Miss Deswita. She's the new teacher at our school."

Thalia tried to introduce herself to the smiling woman in front of her. Sarah tried to contain the shock within herself. However, it was undeniable, this was a big surprise for him.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs Mitchell. Thalia is a good child. She is also very intelligent, and I like her very much.

Sarah tries to stay calm and doesn't want to look stupid in front of a woman who claims to be the teacher of her daughter, Thalia.

"N-nice to meet you, Miss Deswita . I think I know you. Have we met before?"

"Of course not, madam. It's my first day as a teacher at this school. And coincidentally, the school appointed me as homeroom teacher for your daughter's class, Thalia."

"Your face reminds me of someone in the past. But… ah, never mind. This must be just a coincidence. You're not him."

"Of course, madam. We just met and got to know each other today. So there's no way you know me. Isn't that right, Thalia?"

"Mama, please don't embarrass me. This Miss Deswita recently moved with her family from America. So there's no reason for Mama to say she knows her."

"I'm sorry, Thalia. I didn't mean to..."

"Never mind! We'd better go home now. I'll tell papa this. Miss Deswita, once again, please forgive my mother's behavior. We'll excuse ourselves. See you tomorrow."

"It's okay, Thalia. See you tomorrow."

Sarah stared in disbelief. How could her daughter be so defensive of the new teacher over her? In fact, Thalia is very difficult to get close to other people. Especially new people.

Sarah was sure that Deswita was Della Hernandez, a woman who had been Mitchell's best friend and fiancé. However, he wasn't so sure yet. Many changes occurred in the woman's face and body.

In the past, Della was just a simple woman who didn't like to dress up and dress neatly, even though her parents were successful businessmen. Meanwhile, the woman he had just met was one hundred and eighty degrees compared to Della.

"This can't go on. I have to find out who and what background Thalia's new teacher is. I'm pretty sure it's Della Hernandez."

Meanwhile, Deswita breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the car driven by Sarah and her daughter speeding away from the school where she had now officially become a teacher.

"Phew, I'm so lucky that my cover wasn't blown. Thank you, Thalia, for helping me convince your mom of me. Turns out, it's very easy to get their child to be close to me. I'm sure, all this time, Sarah didn't really care about her daughter."

Deswita is Della Hernandez, as Sarah had previously believed. She deliberately changed his name and appearance so that Sarah would not recognize him anymore.

With the help of Devan, who is a good friend of the owner of the school where Sarah and Mitchell's children are studying there, Deswita has succeeded in becoming Thalia's teacher and homeroom teacher.

Devan had indeed given him information about the whereabouts of the child. And now, Deswita's job was to get closer to Thalia and use the child to bring Sarah down.

Deswita is very sure, Thalia is not Mitchell's flesh and blood. She knew very well who Sarah was and how her promiscuity had been in the past. However, Mitchell, as his boss, never knew who Sarah really was.

During this time, Mitchell met Sarah as a polite person and a good woman. But, everyone knows who Sarah is, including herself.

"Della… or should I call you Deswita from now on? Can we go now? You know, I'm so tired of waiting for you in there with the female teachers who are very flirtatious and wild like tigresses who want to pounce on their prey."

Devan appeared with an annoyed expression on his face. Moreover, his good looks make female teachers who are single and married compete to attract his attention. However, it actually made him sick to the point of choosing to come to him.

"Hahaha ... it's hard to have a handsome face. You will continue to be pursued and admired by women wherever you are, dear Devan. By the way, you can still call me by my real name if no one is around."

Deswita laughed, imagining how annoyed Devan would be when surrounded by women thirsty for male caresses. But, that's the risk of being a handsome man.

They must be willing to be the center of attention wherever they are. In the past, she also felt very jealous when Mitchell became the center of attention of women.

"Never mind, don't frown like that. You will lose your good looks if you show a face like this. Smile, you will look more handsome."

"Don't praise me like that, Della. You'll only throw me down again when I'm soaring. I know very well how you are."

Deswita laughed again at Devan's tone of voice, who sulked like a child wanting something. She is very lucky to have a friend as good and handsome as Devan.

After Deswita took the bag and some files to study for tomorrow's lesson, the two of them walked from the school building to a restaurant for lunch.

Unexpectedly, Deswita must again refrain from revealing his identity. How could I not? The man she didn't want to meet in the near future turned out to be in the same restaurant.

"Devan, what if Mitchell knows me? I don't want my cover to be blown."

"You take it easy. Just act normal and don't show your clumsiness in front of him. He'll definitely get suspicious if you do. I'm with you, so be strong. You're a strong Deswita, not a weak Della Hernandez."

She saw Mitchell walking closer to the table where she and devan were still waiting for their orders to arrive. The man's gaze never left him. However, as Devan said, she must not show fear in front of the man.

"Devan, what are you doing in this place?" Mitchell asked pleasantly.

"Why else would people come to a restaurant if not to eat? You're such an idiot, Mitch," Devan replied, laughing to cover his awkwardness.

"Then, who is this beautiful woman beside you? Is she your lover? Her face seems to have known her," Mitchell continued again.

"She's Deswita. The new teacher at Theodore's school—my best friend and homeroom teacher of your daughter—Thalia," replied Devan Deswita proudly in front of Mitchell.

"Really? Then, why did Thalia not tell me about her new teacher? This is very strange. Usually Thalia always says all her activities at school without exception. But, now..."

"Come on, don't be too dramatic. Deswita is only teaching today. Even Sarah even thought that Deswita was Della Hernandez," said Devan, greeted by Mitchell's strange gaze.

"But, I'm Deswita, not Della Hernandez as that woman thought, Devan," said Deswita, smiling.

"Do you have a twin? Really, you look so much like him. In fact, you both sound exactly the same," Mitchell asked Deswita, who was squeezing her hands under the table.

"I am an only child, Master…" Deswita replied, throwing a smile.

"Are you sure? Really, if I didn't see you in person, I definitely wouldn't believe it. But, never mind. Nice to meet you, Miss Deswita," Mitchell said with a smile and ended with a nod of his head. "Devan, we need to talk later," he continued, before walking away.

After making sure Mitchel passed from their sight, Deswita immediately grabbed Devan's hand and asked them to find another restaurant.

"But, we have ordered food here, Deswita," said Devan, refusing.

"Ask the waiter to wrap our orders and eat in my apartment. Hurry up! I'll be waiting for you in the car," answered Deswita, walking away from Devan who was scratching his head that didn't itch in annoyance.

"You guys can drive me crazy over time!" said Devan, walked up to the cashier and asked to wrap their order, then pay for it and after that walked away.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to both of them, Mitchell watched the incident with a confused feeling. He didn't understand why the woman whose face was very similar to her ex-fiance chose to leave the restaurant just because of her.

"There seems to be something suspicious about that girl. I have to investigate. If it's you, I'll make sure you get back to me, Della Hernandez."

Mitchell contacts someone to find out about a woman named Deswita whom he and Devan have just met at this restaurant. He firmly believes that Deswita is Della Hernandez – his ex-fiancé who went somewhere and left Mitchell in emptiness and unhappiness with Sarah.

Not to mention, Sarah's behavior was starting to make her nervous. He did not want to give false hope to the woman who was now his wife. However, Sarah had to keep the agreement they had written on paper before the wedding took place.

And now, he finds a woman whose face is very similar to his ex-fiancé. This, of course, raises new hope for Mitchell to be able to rekindle hopes of being able to continue his story with Della Hernandez.

Mitchell is not aware, there will be a heart that is hurt by his decisions and selfishness. Especially Thalia–her daughter. The little girl would definitely not accept this, and Sarah would take advantage of the situation by provoking Thalia.

"You put me in a very difficult situation, Della. I'm still waiting for your love. However, I also can't put my daughter's feelings aside if I obey my ego.

One more thing he has to think about is Javier Mascherano. The man would definitely not stay still and would re-enter their lives.

"Ah, dammit! Why does there have to be a woman who looks so much like my ex-fiancé? I'm going to go crazy if this continues. Should I choose to stay with Sarah and our daughter in the future?" said Mitchell, half in despair.
