A week later, Alex had succeeded in evading the paparazzi and now they are trying their best to get a small glimpse of him. He's changed his penthouse to a new one in Manhattan for more privacy not that he doesn't like the other one he's left, he will definitely go back there as that place has his heart and everything. He's got so many memories there with Peter and his parents, even his little brother Ivan.
Truth to Peter's words, he's managed to help wipe each and every scandal related to his name in all the social media platforms. He doesn't know how the guy managed to do something like that but he is forever grateful for what he's done. His father had called him few days ago to tell him he is doing a nice job by staying away from the paparazzi. The joy in his father's voice made him want to do this, change himself for good.
Now he is relaxing in his penthouse all alone after a long day at work. The next day being weekend, the old him would've been in a club already banging away the weekend but look at him locked in his penthouse. He closed his eyes and relaxed inside the pool, sipping his alcohol elegantly while staring deep into the sky that's dark without any star in sight. He is not one to appreciate nature but the weather is amazing and meant for two people in love to cuddle.
Startled at the lane his thought took, he let out a chuckle as if not believing he's just thought about love. He's never given that thing a thought even though his parents are clearly in one. The thing never struck up in his mind nor brain, he is just living his best life and that love thing is for older people that are ready to settle down. He on the other hand is not, not even close to ready to settle down at all.
"I hope you are not crazy now because of being celibate for just seven days?" Peter's voice rang from behind him, he turned around to see his friend trudging in with a bottle of expensive liquor also wearing shorts for swimming.
"Oh, just some silly thoughts." He grinned at the guy then gave him his hand, he pulled him into the water with one strong pull. He's been going to the gym these past few days much more regularly.
"That wasn't funny." Peter laughed hard after resurfacing from the water. He shook his head so the hairs snuggled against his face will disappear.
"Oh it was. What's up with you?"
"Nothing much. I've been thinking about your situation and came up with a great idea which you might find very stupid but is the best we've got now for you." Peter explained in one breath while opening the liquor and pouring some inside a small glass cup.
Alex blinked his eyes quick and hard, trying to make sense what the man just said. "Okay…what is that you've thought about? I hope I won't hit your head with this bottle after hearing it."
Peter laughed, swallowed his drink then smiled. "You should get a woman to date for a few months, let's say five to six months so the media will have something to feed on while you go about with your skirt chasing."
"You are not making any sense." Alex whispered slowly, his eyes perplexed and voice filled with unease.
"I mean, you should date one girl for six months with a contract between you two that the both of you can do whatever the fuck you want as long as the paparazzi won't get a whiff of it. They should think you are in love with her. Go to all those official gatherings with her, galas and exhibitions. Your father will be happy to know that the media now think of you as a responsible guy and not a playboy." Peter explained looking very pleased with himself.
"What will happen after the six months end?" Alex inquired after a few seconds of digesting what his friend had just said. As crazy as the idea sounds, it makes sense.
"The girl will disappear after a huge fight between you two. I don't know what will cause it but it'll happen then and the media will find out about it. After that, you won't go back to hanging every other lady in your arm while feigning heartbreak. Then you can go back to your old self behind the paparazzi's back. They should leave you alone after that." Peter clapped his hands together at his brilliant idea.
"You are mad." Alex said slowly, a smile spreading across his lips after mulling over the idea for just a minute. This is the perfect way to get rid of paparazzi!
"But you are the best best friend to ever exist!" He moved closer to him to give him a big hug while jumping up and down inside the water and creating friction.
"Oh, I know that since. But what we should think about is how to start looking for this girl and which girl." Peter took his phone from the edge of the pool searching for something on his instagram page.
"Why on instagram?"
"I'm looking for someone who looks decent enough for your dad and the media." Peter answered in a distracted way, his hands really brisk on his screen.
"What should we say to dad about it? He won't believe that I'm in a relationship, I cannot lie to him." Another problem they've forgotten to mention in their plan.
"You won't have to lie to him, tell him the truth. He wants you to be responsible for the media after all."
"Oh, right."
Few minutes in his search, Peter shook his head. "I don't think any of these girls will do. We should get another girl that isn't in our circle. Not an instagram model or anyone popular because they can never be trusted. We need someone you won't go for on normal day basis."
"How do we get her though?"
