"What are you still waiting for? Get the kids, now!" The man yelled out to his men who began to take action by approaching us.
We had no weapons and so we had to use what we have which is our bare hands to fight, Ruben went ahead and caught one of the men, he gave him a punch on the lower part of his belly and then a kick that sent him flying backwards.
"What! Don't tell me that these bunch of ants are stronger than all of you!" The man yelled after seeing what Ruben did to one of his men. "Don't you dare let them escape from this place alive or you all will end up becoming dead meats!"
Hearing the threats, the men not wanting to become dead meats scattered around and began to attack us four. Rina, Ruben and I had no problem dealing with them but Elsa was finding it difficult to fight against them.
"Rina, take care of Elsa and leave the majority of the fights to me and Ruben!" I said to Rina who after staring at me for a short while nodded and went behind to where Elsa is.
Seeing that it was settled, I ran forward to the first man and then kicked him on his shaft, the man instantly fell to his knees as he yelled. Not minding the kind of pain he was experiencing, I turned around and gave him a powerful kick at the back of his head. It was a bad spot and so he fell to the ground immediately.
I left him and moved on to the second man, he was unaware of my presence as he was concentrating on carrying out a sneak attack on Ruben. I dragged him backwards but before I pulled him behind me, I gave him a punch in the chest and then a push that sent him flying to the wall.
"That was close, man! Thanks, bro!" Ruben spoke while still dealing with the man he was dealing with.
"You all are a bunch of useless fools!" The man yelled in anger. He was shocked to see how we were perfectly dealing with his men, even though we were just kids as he called us.
As I fought the other men, I noticed him putting his hand in his pants and the next second, I saw him bringing out a gun and aiming at Rina.
"Shit!" I mumbled and pushed the man I was holding away. I intended to rush over and block the attack but I was far from where Rina was standing and I didn't want to use my demon speed as it will raise unwanted attention.
*Bam*
"Rina!" I yelled as I turned around expecting to see Rina shot but to my surprise, it wasn't her instead, I saw Elsa standing in her front with blood gushing out of her arm. "Elsa," I mumbled and ran over to her immediately. By the time I got to her, she was already on the floor, in the arms of Rina who had tears in her eyes already.
"Don't worry, I'm fine," she whispered with difficulty as the pain from the gunshot was eating into her. I ignored her claim to be alright and gently pulled her wounded arm, I tore a piece of cloth from my shirt and tied the wound immediately to stop it from bleeding more.
"Why, why did you do it?" I questioned her as I tied the wound. Elsa was honestly the last person I imagined would do something like this despite all her claims that Rina was very kind to her and all that. This is her life for crying out loud and yet she acted without thinking of the consequences of her actions. What if the bullet had gone straight to her heart or even head, what would be the outcome? She didn't think of all these before acting rashly.
"I wanted to save miss Rina, her safety is all that matters to me. I don't mind if I die as long as she is alive," she replied.
Her reply made me look at her cautiously, I kept quiet for a while without saying a word, my mind kept telling me something isn't right but I just couldn't point out what it could be.
"Elsa, I don't know how to pay you back. Tell me what I should do," Rina spoke, sounding hopeless and sad.
"Miss, you don't have to pay me back," Elsa replied. And then looked at me, "It's all his fault that we are here, let's allow him to go so that all this will come to an end!"
"What!"
"What!"
Rina and I blurted out in shock at the same time.
"What are you saying?" I asked, not quite getting what she said initially.
"It's your fault! Since you came into the inn, this problem started, hand yourself to the man and the miss and I will return immediately," she replied again.
At first, I was shocked to hear her say all of this, I so thought that we all were in this together. How come she turned her back on me at a moment like this? Series of questions filled my head as I stared at her face.
"He's not going anywhere!" Rina firmly said and stood up. She turned and faced the man, "It's either you kill us here, right now! Or you let us all leave alive!"
"Hahaha! Why should I let you leave here alive? It'll be a loss to me if I should do that," the man said with a chuckle. "Look around, my men are all scattered around, lying helplessly like dead chickens and you expect me to free you? Impossible!" He yelled and pulled the trigger again.
*Bam*
He shot at Rina again, I pushed her away from the way and dodged the bullet as well. Seeing this, he wasn't going to stop rather, he pulled the trigger again.
Not wanting him to shoot again, I used my demon speed, not minding the latter consequences and dashed at him. When I got to him, I grabbed his neck tightly and pushed him backwards until his back hit the wall.
"I won't let you harm anyone again!" I mumbled as I increased my grip on his neck, causing him to start choking. He tried to peel my hands off but he couldn't, but I was able to snatch the gun from his hand.
"D-do you think that after killing me, you'll leave here?" The man asked and began to laugh even though he was choking.
"What do you mean?" I asked with a raised brow.
"The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know!" The man replied and stabbed himself right in his heart.
"Wh—" I had no words to say, I was totally shocked by the man's act. I didn't see this coming not even when he was bringing it out from wherever he kept it.

I waved the system's notification out of my head first as it wasn't the most important for me at the moment. I dropped the man's dead body on the floor and turned around.
"Rina? Where is Rina?" I asked in surprise, I couldn't see her or Elsa anywhere in the place.
"We should check outside," Ruben suggested as he approached me, he too was done dealing with the remaining men.
