Chapter 11: Mark vs Abomination (3)
"This...this is..."
The soldiers in the armored vehicle were stunned when Mark suddenly appeared in front of them. Relief washed over them, and they slumped back in their seats, gasping for air.
They hadn't realized how terrified they were until that moment.
"What is that thing?!" General Ross, watching from a distance, was shocked.
He'd seen it with his own eyes. This guy looked like a normal person, but he'd just appeared out of thin air. It was unbelievable. Where had he come from? Was it some kind of monster party in New York today?
But Abomination was even more excited than anyone else.
The car hitting his head had only knocked him back a little. He quickly regained his balance, a ferocious grin spreading across his face.
"A little bug...good," Abomination said excitedly. "I'll use you as a warm-up before I crush the Hulk."
A wave of murderous intent washed over Mark.
But Mark wasn't afraid. He was actually excited. Just a moment ago, he'd heard that familiar electronic notification in his mind.

Hearing that sound made Mark even more pumped up. Abomination's power reminded him of fighting raid bosses in online games. It got his blood pumping.
Steve materialized behind him, and Mark grinned at Abomination. "Come get some, punk."
"Roar!!!"
Abomination roared and charged at Mark.
Mark was excited, but he wasn't stupid. He wasn't going to just stand there and let Abomination hit him. It was like in a game. You had to use strategy to beat a boss, especially when you weren't fully powered up yet.
With a flick of his wrist, Mark lifted the asphalt in front of Abomination into the air. Abomination slammed into it, but the road was no match for his strength. It shattered instantly, and Abomination burst through, grinning.
But when he looked up, Mark was gone.
"...?"
Abomination was confused for a moment. Then he felt a stinging sensation on his back, like something had scratched him. He spun around, throwing a punch, but there was nothing there.
He looked around, bewildered.
He instinctively touched his back and felt something wet. He looked at his hand. It was covered in sticky yellow-green blood.
"You little pest!"
Realizing he'd been injured, Abomination went berserk. "You think you can hurt me like that? Come out and fight!"
He rampaged through the streets, smashing cars, breaking fire hydrants, causing chaos.
Meanwhile, Mark was standing on a nearby rooftop, watching Abomination's every move.
He had to admit, his Stand wasn't that powerful yet.
Steve's iron sword could slice through terrorists like a hot knife through butter, but it wasn't doing much against Abomination.
Mark had a plan. He was using the Ender Hand to distract Abomination while Steve attacked from behind.
It was a good plan, but Mark had underestimated Abomination's defenses.
Steve jumped down and slashed at Abomination's back, but the sword only left a shallow cut, a few inches deep.
For a monster who was over ten feet tall, that was nothing. It was like a mosquito bite to a human. The pain just made Abomination angrier.
But Mark didn't give up.
He'd fought tougher monsters than this in the Twilight Forest mod. The Hydra had way more health than Abomination. And what happened? Mark had killed it.
"I'll show you what a thousand cuts feels like."
A smirk played on Mark's lips.
He reached out with the Ender Hand and grabbed a water tower from a nearby rooftop. With a flick of his wrist, he sent it hurtling towards Abomination.
"Hmm?"
Even in his rage, Abomination sensed the danger. He looked up and saw the water tower falling towards him. He jumped out of the way just in time.
The water tower crashed to the ground, sending water spraying everywhere.
Steve, who'd been waiting for his chance, darted forward and slashed at Abomination with his sword. Abomination felt a sharp pain in his left eye and howled in fury.
"Roar!!!"
Blinded in one eye, Abomination lashed out wildly.
Without any speed-boosting mods, Steve wasn't that fast. He couldn't dodge Abomination's attacks. But Mark was a good fighter. He quickly had Steve raise his shield.
There was a loud bang, and a shockwave rippled through the air.
"Hmm?"
Abomination felt like he'd punched a steel wall. His fist throbbed with pain. He looked up, surprised, but there was nothing in front of him.
But Abomination was a former soldier. He quickly put two and two together. His enemy was invisible.
"You little bug! I know your secret!"
Abomination roared and grabbed a huge concrete pillar. He started spinning it like a windmill, trying to hit his invisible attacker. "Come out! I'll crush you!"
Mark ignored him.
He was too busy worrying about his shield.
Abomination's punch had done some serious damage. A huge chunk of his shield's durability was gone. It was a good thing Minecraft shields could block almost any attack. Otherwise, Steve would have been seriously hurt.
"Time for a new strategy," Mark thought.
He slowly raised his hand, and a faint purple light emanated from his palm.
A nearby car suddenly lifted into the air and flew towards Abomination.
Abomination swung the concrete pillar, smashing the car to pieces. But then another car came flying at him. He swung again.
A third car came at him, and Abomination raised the pillar again. But this time, the ground beneath him gave way. He'd stepped into a hidden pit. Steve was waiting for him, iron sword raised. He slashed at Abomination's Achilles tendon.
Mark thought of it as giving Abomination a very painful foot massage.
"Roar!!!"
Abomination howled in pain and tried to pull his leg out of the hole. But then a car fell on his head. Mark used the Ender Hand to crush the car into a metal shell, trapping Abomination's head.
Abomination finally managed to rip the car off his head and pull his leg out of the hole. His Achilles tendon was a bloody mess.
Before he could get his bearings, a green figure suddenly tackled him to the ground. It was the Hulk, and he started pummeling Abomination with his massive fists. The ground cracked under the force of the blows.
"Another... another one?"
The people who were running away stopped and stared in disbelief. This was the third monster they'd seen today. What was going on in New York?
"Hmm? The Hulk?"
Mark recognized the green giant. This was supposed to be his fight, but it looked like the Hulk had decided to join in.
Unfortunately, even though he looked intimidating, the Hulk was weaker than usual. Bruce Banner had injected himself with something to suppress his gamma powers. His punches weren't doing much damage to Abomination. They just made him angry. Abomination kicked the Hulk away.
"Get out of my way, Hulk!"
Abomination roared. "You're not my target! I'm going to kill that bug!"
Just then, a loud rattling sound filled the air. Abomination got up and stumbled again. To his fury, he saw that he was being attacked by a helicopter.
It was General Ross's helicopter, and Betty, Bruce Banner's girlfriend, was in it, watching anxiously. A soldier next to her was firing a Gatling gun at Abomination.
"Ross..."
Abomination glared at the helicopter with hatred. He grabbed a piece of scrap metal and hurled it at the helicopter.
"Get out of the way!"
General Ross yelled, but the pilot couldn't react in time. The scrap metal hit the tail rotor, and the helicopter exploded. It spun out of control and crashed to the ground.
The Hulk, who'd been knocked away by Abomination, had just gotten back up. He saw the helicopter go down.
He saw Betty's terrified face.
And he snapped.
