Two years later...

"WOW ... I never thought Skyfield University was this big."

"You just reacted like that now, while you've been studying here for two years."

Kourin pouted and then faced the person who said that. "You're being mean, Ami. What I meant was the space covered by the college department. You know that people from the high school department are not allowed to come here unless you have some business with one of the professors here."

Amiko just smiled and then messed up Kourin's hair. She remained pouting when she the girl's hand from her head. It was just annoying. They really liked messing up her hair.

It was enrollment day that day and Kourin was with Amiko ㅡ but she often called her Ami. She would usually call her Ami-chan even though there was only two years gap between their ages. Well, the young clan princess would've called Amiko like that if she was still back in Japan. She used to do that back home. But she had to follow a different culture first... just for the sake of adapting to the new life she had to live.

She had no problem speaking in a different language because she studied it before she decided to migrate to that country. It was one of the languages she decided to learn for a reason.

"By the way, where is Nanami?" Kourin later asked Amiko. As far as she knew, Nanami would also come with her to enroll.

"She just has something to take care of in the dean's office. Don't worry, she's with Kana and Takeru."

Those two are together again? If she just didn't know that Kana and Takeru came from the same clan, she would really think that those two have a romantic relationship. "Those two can't really be separated, honestly."

"Even when we were still in Japan, they were always together. I don't know how those two managed to get along, while their personalities are entirely different."

She didn't say a word after that. Even she would also ask that herself from time to time. But at the same time, sadness was wrapping her heart. Somehow, hearing the word "Japan" usually triggered a lot of memories in her mind ㅡ those that she could still remember. She tried to stop it so that Amiko would not notice. Somehow she did it. That girl's "mother hen mode" would definitely activate again when she noticed a trace of sadness in her. It was even harder to deal with it by then.

Kourin and Amiko didn't wait long for Nanami. Maybe, it was only 5 minutes after she asked Amiko where Nanami was. And just like Amiko said, Kana and Takeru were together again. Right after that, they accompanied her to enroll for her first semester at Skyfield University. Yes, she knew. She was perhaps the youngest enrollee there at the age of 17. But what can she do? She studied quite early. And the result? Here she was, she also graduated from high school early.

When the enrollment process was over and they had paid the initial down payment, they didn't stay long in school. One of her guardians, Hotaru, instructed her not to stay outside for long. The woman said that Kourin should just finish the things that needed to be taken care of first and go home immediately after that.

It was because that woman's worrywart has struck again, so that was why Hotaru was giving instructions to Kourin like that. Then again, there was a reason for that. And that same reason made the young clan princess have a chaperone just so she could enroll.

"Rin!"

She immediately looked up from the class schedule she was reading. She had no trouble finding the source of it. She could not hide her excitement when she saw a familiar person approaching her.

"Raiden!"

A handsome, fair-skinned young man stopped in front of her. He was smiling wide as he faced her. "Have you enrolled already?"

She nodded. "Here it is. Just finished. What about you?"

"Same. Actually, I finished enrolling 30 minutes ago. It just so happened that I even went through the dean's office to settle something with regards to my subjects." Raiden looked at the paper Kourin was holding. "Mind if I take a look at it?"

Kourin just handed the paper to Raiden wordlessly. Well, she expected this man to inquire into her schedule. It didn't take long for him to look there. Moments later, he handed the paper back to her.

"That's it?"

Raiden nodded with a smile. "I just looked to see if we had a difference in the time given to you. So far, I saw nothing. I guess that makes us blockmates."

'Blockmates? Don't tell me...?' "You enrolled in the same course as I did?" She decided to take up Business Administration. And she could really get to use that in the near future.

"Oh, what's so surprising about that? I told you about that before, right?"

Did Raiden really say anything to her? Just wait. She would try to remember it first. Hmm...

Raiden suddenly heaved a deep sigh, cutting off Kourin's "traveling down the memory lane." She ended up frowning when she saw him scratching the back of his head. "You forgot again, didn't you?"

She just winced because of what Raiden said. She guessed it was true.

"Do you still have time? Let's go out first. I'll take you for a walk," Raiden said to Kourin who was a little surprised.

"Eh? A-as in now?"

He saw Raiden stunned. He seemed to have noticed her skepticism. "Is it a bad time? I haven't seen you in the park for two weeks. I can't go to your house and security seems to be tight for you."

Kourin didn't say anything. What he said was the truth. It had been two weeks since she last saw Raiden.

"It's okay. You go on ahead, Rin."

Kourin immediately confronted Takeru who said that. He just smiled at her as he nodded. When she looked at Kana and Nanami, they both had the look that said "don't worry."

"Don't worry. We'll take care of it, okay?" Amiko said and really pushed Kourin to Raiden.

The princess glared at Amiko but she just laughed it off. Honestly, this woman can really taste a really good scolding from her later. But as she read Amiko's words, she thought she knew what they were all up to.

There wouldn't be a problem if she went with Raiden, would there? She just faced the young man and then nodded.

"Just make sure I enjoy our little tour, okay?"

All Raiden did as a response was to show a wide smile. Kourin couldn't help but be infected by that smile.
