A month has passed since the time I arrived here. I can now speak fluently and I explained to them how I travelled through time and reached there by accident.
An old man stood up shocked by the horror of my words. Too dumbfounded to react. They said that it was the time wars that destroyed us. People would use the machine we built in my future to go back in the past and alter the timeline. It would make them rich or save lives. Everything was going fine until one day Earth starting collapsing on itself...there were so many frequent timeline changes that the Earth was not stable anymore. Everything was collapsing within itself past present and future ment nothing, one moment a dinosaur would fall from the skies at another rockets would fly from the ocean,this caused people to drift into 2 factions. The changers wanted to use the time machine one last time to restore the timeline. The non-changers were scared of the machines capabilities and wanted to seal it off.
This caused a great war and there was destruction everywhere. After decades of war, both parties perished and these people left behind were the orphans of war.
The Earth recovered itself after a while and everything went back to normal except the fact that it was all my fault.
If I could go back in time and fix my problem come back in future and destroy the machine maybe that wont be too much of a change I thought.
The people of this town had a non- changer attitude and tried to seal my machine. I told them it's no use and I would have already left had it been working. They agreed and in the end we decided it would have been in my best interests to go back to my own time to stop creating new disturbances in their already delicate timeline.
