Ken walked backstage, where all of the students that passed the exam were waiting. Some of the new students that were in the room, glared at Ken as if he had personally insulted each one of them
"Think you might have went a little too over the top" Tai chuckled as he approached Ken
"Guess I got a little carried away" replied
"Well, at least you got your message across"
Tai looked Ken dead in the eye before placing his left hand on Ken's Shoulder
"For the small amount of time I've known you, you have proven yourself to be a very capable opponent, Ken Granfold. So, see you at the finish line" Tai spoke with a competitive tone
"Right! I'll see you there!"
'I'm going to grab something to eat, see you around Ken" Tai said before walking off
After Tai had walked off, an Elf approached Ken "Yo"
Seeing the Elf approach him, Ken's eyes lit up, fascinated by the elf "Y-your…a…High Elf!"
"What? Have you ever seen a High Elf?" The Elf replied
"No, I've only ever read about them in books! Wow, your skin really is golden, and your ears, they are sooo pointy!"
"Never seen someone this excited to see a High Elf" The Elf spoke watching Ken analyze him "Anyways, that was one hell of a speech you gave Ken Granfold," The Elf, continued to speak with a smirk
"Now that I take a closer look, you are one of the students that were unphased by my mana release" Ken spoke
"My name is Eldrin Aldaval. I like your attitude, if you can back it up then I'll see you at graduation" Eldrin said with a smirk, as he held out his hand going for a handshake
"That sounds like a deal" Ken replied with a smirk
Ken grabbed Eldrin's hand to shake it, as He grabbed it, Eldrin tightened his grip around Ken's hand, and then suddenly heavy pressure fell upon Ken. It was as if gravity was trying to bring him down. This was Eldrins mana release, he was trying to intimidate Ken
Ken smirked before tightening His grip and once again returning this kind gesture by releasing his mana, making sure the pressure only affected Eldrin and no one else. The two boys glared at each other, both of them carrying a glare that sparked an unspoken rivalry
Eldrin finally released his grip and let go of Ken's hand before letting out a small chuckle "See you again Ken Granfold" With that Eldrin walked off
As he walked off, a big grin appeared on Ken's face without him realizing it. "It looks like I'm getting more and more excited about this academy!"
"Alright, now that everyone is here, my name is Jess" Jess introduced himself
"You all will be now receiving your Student Cell, which you will carry with you throughout your entire time at this academy," Jess said speaking into a microphone
"One at a time I will call up students, and give you your Cell, which will have a map to your dormitory where you will be living, with a few other students. You will come up once I've called your name and I'll tell you how to function your map" Jess said as she stood in front of a stack of Student Cells.
Jess started to call out names one by one and soon everyone was attaining their Student Cells and leaving. After about half an hour everyone had been giving their student cell and dorm information, leaving Ken last.
A holographic screen popped out of Jess's cell, on the screen was a picture of Ken including some information about him, like his name, height, age, race, and some other information.
"So you're Ken Granfold? That was one hell of an introduction, let's hope your bite is worse than your bark" Said, Jess
Jess grabbed a student cell on the desk beside her and handed it to Ken. She then instructed Him to place either His right or left thumb on the screen of his cell, Ken used his right thumb and once He did, the screen lit up and scanned Ken's thumbprint. Once He removed His thumb, the screen of the cell lit up before multiple icons appeared on the screen.
"Okay, now click the icon with the map symbol, it's already been preset to your dorm, so just follow the map and you will reach your new dorm" Jess explained as she showed a demonstration on her own portal
"Alright, I think I understand"
Ken followed the map which led Him into a forest that took him almost an hour to reach. This academy is really big, like it's the size of an entire island on its own. It's most likely bigger than Zen Island. Ken walked into the forest following the map and in a few minutes, He reached a big old building that looked like it was abandoned. Outside, front of the dorm was a big pillar of rock that had elven symbols carved in it
"I couldn't have gotten myself lost. I followed the map exactly" Ken thought to Himself as he looked at his cell
Ken took a few steps towards the dorm, as he came closer, the pillar of rock next to it started to crack. Ken stopped and looked at the stone pillar as it cracked completely, revealing it to be a Stone Golem.
Standing in front of Ken is a 10 feet stone golem, with a humanoid body. Its left arm is much bigger than its right.
"I'm guessing you're not gonna let me through without a fight?" Ken asked knowing full well it wasn't going to answer
The golem came charging toward Ken before trying to crush Him with its giant arm, but luckily for Ken, He was quick enough to dodge it. That didn't stop the golem as it came at Ken with a barrage of attacks, and it was actually moving pretty fast for its size. If Ken was an amateur, He'd probably have a hard time with this golem, too bad for it, since Ken's trained far too hard to lose to a piece of rock.
"Not bad, but not quick enough"
Ken jumped out of the golem's barrage of attacks and made some distance between the golem and himself. A red magic circle appeared underneath the golem, with a grin, Ken thrust his right hand into the air, which caused fire to erupt from the ground, and engulf the golem entirely, letting it burn for a whole 15 seconds before the fire disappeared.
Once it did a medium crater was left where the golem once was and the golem was no were to be found.
"Well, that's that. Time to head inside and see if this is the right place"
Walking into the dorm, the room Ken entered was a medium-sized one with its furniture neatly layered out and not too cramped. Sitting in a rocking chair facing the door was a short old male cat Kin'ma, rocking in his rocking chair.
Kin'ma is beasfolks with more human features than beast meaning they have a completely human appearance but will contain their respective beastly traits. Their ears and tails sometimes even their entire limbs. The old man had gray cat ears and a gray cat tail.
"A Kin'ma…awesome!" Ken mumbled under his breath
