Ken and Louis stared at each other in silence, preparing themselves for the duel that was about to go down.
"Show me all five of your elemental release" Louis shouted, finally breaking the silence before he launched himself high into the air-
"Alright then"
Several small light green magic circles appeared behind Louis in mid-air. Ken prepared himself for whatever spell Louis was about to cast. Louis pointed his hand down towards Ken, as he did a hail of arrows made completely from wind, fired down at Ken, coming towards him at high speeds.
Ken quickly reacted, running around the stage, dodging the hail of wind arrows. After a few seconds, Ken had found an opening and wasted no time in preparing a spell
"Here is fire"
Ken fired Exploding Flare straight at Louis. Louis saw this coming, and simply raised his right hand towards the incoming spell, creating a shield that was able to withstand all 4 explosions that happened.
Once the flames cleared out Louis was on the ground and charging up another spell, as soon as Ken noticed him, Louis quickly launched his spell which was a giant lance made out of wind. The spell came in fast but Ken was quick enough to use his second elemental release.
Placing his hand on the ground, Ken brought forth a giant earth wall, blocking the wind lance. The lance was only a few inches away from penetrating the wall of earth, but luckily it disappeared before it could.
"That's two" Leo spoke
Using wind magic, Ken launched himself super high into the sky, high above the dorm
"Here comes Wind" Ken shouted
Pointing both his hands down towards Louis, a light green magic circle appeared in front of Ken's hand.
"That's really high," Louis said looking up at Ken
"Crushing Cyclone!" Ken shouted
"A short incantation," Hanako said looking up at Ken
From Ken's Magic circle, a large cyclone jetted down towards Louis, tearing through the night sky. The cyclone was so big that it covered the entire stadium, however, Louis didn't flinch, he took a sturdy stance and prepared himself for the incoming spell.
Ken's spell was only a few inches away from making contact with Louis, but just before it could, Louis raised both his hands and stopped the spell in its tracks
"Not bad" Louis spoke
Tensing up his arms before moving them apart, Louis caused Ken's wind magic to disperse into the night sky. But as Ken's spell disappeared so did Ken, he was nowhere to be found in the sky.
"You're pretty quick…" Louis said looking behind him, where Ken was standing preparing for an attack
"Here is water"
Ken brought forth a sword made from water and immediately swung it at Louis in an attempt to strike him, but Louis was quick enough to dodge the strike, with the blade just chipping away at a strand of his hair.
Louis quickly placed his right palm on Ken's chest, before using a pulse of wind to push Ken back a few meters.
"That's four, so your final element will be lightning," Said Louis
Ken held his ground before standing up straight "How about we finish this little duel?"
"Your quite skilled Ken, but yes, let's finish this"
Ken raised his hand in the air, causing a yellow magic circle underneath Louis and two more above his head
"A binding spell? When did he have time to set that up?" Said Drew
"He's not the only one to set up a binding spell" Krow spoke
Louis raised his hand in the air, causing a blue-ish white magic circle to appear underneath Ken's foot, with two larger ones above him
"But when did they have time to set up those traps?" Koko asked
"Ken started to set his up after his Exploding Flare…" Katherine answered with her head in her grimoire
"And Louis set his up after his hail of wind arrows" Mira added on
"Now it comes down to, who strikes first," Said Krow
With a grin, Ken shouted "Raging Hammer of Lightning!" before throwing his hand down
Louis also lowered his hand, activating his spell
At the same time, a huge bolt of lightning descended from the magic circle above Louis and struck him with a heavy blow, while a beam of purple light from the sky struck Ken. Everyone watched, waiting to see the outcome.
Both of the spells owly cleared out. Parts of Ken's body were frozen in ice and his skin had lost a little of its color, looking pale. Louis however, wasn't phased at all, it was like he was never struck with Ken's spell.
"That was awesome!" Leo shouted
"Impressive indeed" Mira added on
"You both did amazing!" Said Drew
Everyone else cheered and gave a round of applause.
"Heat" Ken mumbled to himself, causing his body to act as a heater, warming himself up
"Your very skilled indeed, if you weren't holding back maybe the outcome would have been different" Louis said with a smile as he walked up to Ken
"This guy is a monster…should have gone all out from the beginning, even then I'm not sure if I would have won…" Ken thought to himself as he looked at Louis "I can say the same for you, If you weren't holding back, this would have ended differently indeed"
"Well, maybe another time, we can both go all out"
The Ice on Ken's body had finally melted away "what was that spell you cast on me? My body still got deep chills"
"Well at night the lunar surface gets very cold as cold as minus 173 or 172 degrees Celsius, so all I did was create two magic circles in front of the moon, the first circle was to convert the moons freezing lights into magic and the second circle was to focus its rays down onto you" Louis explained
Hearing Louis explain his spell brought stars to Ken's eyes and suddenly he wasn't cold anymore, the excitement of such a spell somehow warmed him up. "Th-that is…soo awesome! I'm definitely going to use that spell, and the fact that you were able to create a magic circle that far high, is even more amazing!"
Chuckling at Ken's excitement, Louis replied "Im glad your excited, but it's really late now, and I need to sleep"
"Right, thank you for the duel, I've just learnt something new" Ken spoke with a smile
With the duel over, everyone said their goodnights before making their way back into their own rooms to sleep for the night. Ken's room was a mess, but he was too excited about the moon spell to be bothered by the mess. After laying on his bed for a few seconds, he spring back up
"Figured it out! I've figured out how to cast the spell, altho reaching the moon is going to be difficult" Ken said out loud talking to himself "I better go to sleep, I have a long day ahead"
Filled with excitement, Ken tried his best to sleep.
"So what do you think of Ken?" Louis asked as he leaned on a wall while facing Silva
"His just as gutsy as you lot...he will fit right in" Silva chuckled
