I got back to the trailer with double minds about Carl and his story but I couldn't imagine him scamming me of my money (besides, $700 is not much compared to what I have left), Lucia was still sleeping when I returned so I did my things quietly so that I wouldn't wake her, I took my shower and I tried to clear the image of the dead sugar daddy that was on the floor in his own pool of blood, I shivered because it was the kind of life that I was already initiated to because I was the personal assistant to a family head, I made a quick supper for my sister and my father who hadn't returned from the Mateo's house.
"How was your day, you aren't going to talk about it?" Lucia asked me as we ate, I shuddered involuntarily because as she mentioned it, I only got flashes of the bad part of my day.
"It went well, the pier was fun" I put it simply so that we wouldn't be interested in asking more questions but Lucia was a chronic talkative.
