The day swept by slowly hitting Dana with nostalgia, she wasn't happy been at the agency today it was hell, listening to senior Linx's ridiculousness was far better than sitting in her little space facing her computer scheduling and rescheduling Linx's work plan and having to look over her shoulders because of her fellow colleagues who didn't seem to like her much and the ones who asked her to join them for launch she knew only did so because they wanted to talk about Linx and all the annoying stuff she didn't fancy, but hell why did they seem so head over heels when's it came to him? He wasn't the only star artist in the company although he had managed to keep the title for a little over three years without fading out like most artists did.
Everyone had just come back from lunch and in order to avoid making any silly conversations Dana wore her head phones listening to Confessions Balloons by Jay chou, she had listened to missing you by G.E.M and then Echoes of the rainbow by Aarif Lee which she didn't quite understand the lyrics of the song as her English wasn't too good, but why was she listening to this sad songs? Was it cause Bingwen hadn't returned her calls or even texted? She felt hurt but she couldn't tell why, she missed him and it was strange she never missed anyone not even when she was dating San Yui so why Bingwen that she only knew for a few days? And now she was silently listening to sad slow songs. "Urrghh Dana mumbled to herself as she raised her hands in annoyance as she read through Linx's truck load of unorganized files. Well that's what you get when you start working for a super star who hadn't had a PA in like for ever.
Noticing the weird stares she had attracted she awkwardly faced her computer once again not until a light ruffle on her head jolted her back to reality and good heavens she so wanted to plug whosoever it was that just messed with the hair she took extra care of lately, recently she found herself unconsciously taking more glances on her dress mirror, dressing a little off her usual street style cause she seemed really awkward whenever she walked into the agency, not like it mattered but the main reason was because of Bingwen he never commented on how she dressed but whenever she put in a little effort she would notice the way he stylishly complimented and she loved, and even after he refused to take her calls now she sort of still stuck to giving her look a little extra, a little colourless lip gloss, a different hair style instead of just letting her hair flow or sticking it into a baseball cap like she usually did and now someone had ruffled her almost well pinned hair!
"Arrghh.....how dare yo...u...!" Dana shot angrily before her eyes caught Linx's, he was staring at her with an evil smirk on his face, hands tugged inside his black baggy pants and hell he had changed the color of his hair from blue to silver blonde which suited him quite well together with the new pair of earrings he wore and little glasses which failed at giving him the nerdy look hanging almost at the tip of his pointed nose, he looked as calm as ever with a glint of mischief filming his pupils but hot damn he looked.... what's the word? Handsome? Nah he looked breathtaking and from the looks of things he had already succeeded at doing just that, taking breaths away as all the girls and even guys stared and blushed.
Realizing her words Dana quickly composed herself with her eyes trying so hard to stop her curious mind from staring at him and smacking that silly smile from his face.
"Why'd you look like you wanna fight huh?" Linx said breaking her out of her thoughts.
"Uh..mm what are you doing here?" She asked trying to change the subject, she had literally just yelled at her boss in an office full of gossip sniffing eyes and ears.
"I'm signed under this company so why wouldn't I be here? Linx asked teasingly, he knew she was deliberately trying to change the topic but hell he loved seeing her like this, lost for words, utterly. Not like she was much of a talker, she was introverted but beneath that ignoring eyes and less words he knew she said so much in her head, and wanted to say things at times but just ignored whoever it was in the end but today even her eyes said nothing, just stared nervously around avoiding his eyes.
"Park your stuff up and follow me " he added not waiting for her to reply he strode out, eyes ahead, hands in his pocket ignoring the pretentious overly sweet greetings, stares and compliments he was getting from the staff members as he walked out.
Where are we going? Dana asked breathing heavily as she tried to keep up with Linx who was already opening his car, the same one that had picked her up from San Yui's party and gotten her into this job with an annoying crazy ghost who didn't look ugly no matter how much she tried to picture him with a tail, overly pale green skin, horns Yellow teeth and only 3fts tall oh what she would give to have him look up to meet her eyes like she always did but he always just ended up looking like a cute monster from some enchanted Forest or something.
"You ask so many questions do you know that?" Linx replied gently using his car key to scratch a side of his head softly squinting a bit due to the effect of the sun and glasses which were just for fancy and doing little at protecting her eyes from the sun.
"Just get in, I'll tell you on the way" he added as he watched Dana walk into the back of the car making him scoff loudly
"Why are you sitting at the back while I drive? Come in front, people might think I'm your driver" he said.
"But... I can't sit in front... People might think I'm your girlfriend..." Dana said shyly but shit what did she just say?! Girlfriend? No one would mistake a girl like her to be the girlfriend of a guy like Linx even if they didn't know who he was.
"Ishh who cares? Trust me no one would think a Scarry looking scare scroll like you is my girlfriend" Linx teased with a small evil looking smile.
Quietly she moved in front, the whole journey they both tried to avoid looking at each other although their eyes had caught each other's a couple of times with the last one a little more awkward trying to change the atmosphere and satisfy her curiosity Dana decided to ask about Bingwen.
"Senior Linx, about your chef um... Did he come to work?" She asked trying not to think about the outcome.
"Nah, he went to Tokyo to celebrate his anniversary with his wife" Linx replied, thinking she was referring to Mr Chou, his actual chef who was a 52 year old Man he had grown to love like a father over the years.
"Why'd you ask though?" Linx asked curiously.
"Nothing... just wanted to know" Dana replied trying to hide the shock in her voice. Bingwen was married?!!!! Oh no.... What had just gotten herself into? Thinking about a married man in a way she wasn't supposed to....she gulped slowly trying to fill her mind with other thoughts.
"So where are we going snr?" She asked once again her voice raised so the loud music Linx was playing won't over shadow her voice.
"To get you some clothes, you definitely don't think I'll let you follow me to Korea with your current wardrobe right? " Linx replied still swaying his head from side to side as his song "Love me tonight" played.
"Korea!" Dana exclaimed.
No this can't be..." She muttered to herself as Panic filled her veins. Going to Korea would mean going back to old wounds, it would mean going back to everything she hates, everyone she despises and everyone that despised and hated her especially one person...one soul she knew she couldn't bring herself to face, she lost so much there that was where she was hidden, that was where the old her Caihong was buried and she didn't want her to ever resurface, never...
