Jeans, shirts, sweat shirts, baggy polos, baggy jeans, shorts, base ball caps... Common on Zheng Dana we ain't going for a Tom boy fashion week or some boring get away, we're going for a classy event and you didn't even pick one dress...arhhh!" Linx said frustratingly as he ran his fingers adorned with rings through his hair before waving a sigh of relief as he watched Dana lightly bite her lower lips.
"It's useless asking you to pick out clothes, don't worry I'll pick them out since I'm now your PA" Linx muttered as he eyed Dana who was again lost in an ocean of thoughts which had been her state since the ride to the boutique, he couldn't tell why she was upset and didn't want to further prey into her matters so he tried to cheer her up even though he had ended up teasing her and causing her to frown even more.
"This is so f-ing hardddd" Linx mumbled to himself as he searched through the array of outfits for Dana.
"Picking out a dress?" A voice questioned without checking who it was he unconsciously answered "nah girls... Like how hard can it be? One minute they seem alright, next they seem sad and down it's maddening eh"
"Um... Girls issues... They're allot of things that could make a girl moody. For one, you probably upset her without knowing and she feels you should know she's upset with her having to tell you"
"Ishh is that a thing? Are guys genies to read people minds or something? " Linx asked looking over at a dress in front of a dressing mirror.
"Well girls are complicated, but there might be another cause which is more logical"
"And what's that?" Linx asked looking up for the first time at who he had been conversing with Lo and behold it was Mr Chen, one of Feng company's biggest designers. Mr Chen was quite good and over the years had taken the Feng fashion line to great levels although he stopped working with the company 10 years ago and sort to build his own company he still remained a loyal consultant to the company when it came to it's clothing and jewelry line.
Immediately Linx sighted Mr Chen he quickly bowed in greeting feeling embarrassed that he had just had a conversation with someone as elder as Mr Chen.
" Elder Chen, good afternoon... What brings you here...." Linx blurted before he could stop himself from asking a question as silly as that and making it too obvious that he was super embarrassed, Mr Chen's light laugher made him more awkward as he had to wear a fake nervous smile so it won't seem somehow.
"O my sweet cute boy's worrying about girls" Mr Chan said still beaming with smiles as he pulled down his glasses making Linx wonder if this man was ever going to change, he was already in his late 50s but still looked 35yr old, his style of dressing and general personality was far from that of anyone his age it's like he kept changing with new trends and adapting new ins unlike his father who was only ever concerned about work and although he dressed well in those expensive suits Linx still found it "boring".
"It's not like that... You see... Um..." Linx couldn't believe he was mumbling, he Feng Lixin?! Mumbling... "shit's this is all Dana's fault" he muttered to himself as he caught Mr Chen's weird smile when he saw him holding a dress.... Now even if he wanted to lie he couldn't.
"You don't have to feel weird about anything, forget this old body my soul's still very young, and I quite understand what you're feeling, take it from one bachelor to another bachelor" Mr chen said gesturing at himself.
"Like I said, there's another reason why she might be moody..."
"Like what elder.." Linx quickly cut in completely forgetting that he wanted to end this conversation a long time ago.
"It's a womanly thing... Comes once a month and turns them into tigers or kittens or a combination of all the wildness, anger and emotional rollercoaster you can think of"
"You mean her per...iod...." Linx asked a little too loud before quickly lowering his voice which caused Mr Chen to chuckle.
"Yeah..that" Mr Chen replied admist chuckles before wearing his sun glasses back shading his dark pupils from the bright lighting in the room. His hair was carefully silked behind and well matched with a pair of grey suit although he didn't wear it's jacket, the first three buttons of his white long sleeves shirt was undone revealing a piece of gold chain he wore around his neck an outfit generally too pop for someone his age but he was rocking it like crazy.
Mr Chen ended up helping Linx pick out outfits for the "girl" Linx kept talking about after Mr Chen insisted to meet Dana so he could ascertain what would fit her the most Linx finally agreed.
Immediately Mr Chen saw Dana he kept giving her weird stares Linx felt uncomfortable by.
"You're Zheng Dana right?" Mr Chen asked Dana who was still looking worried.
"Yes sir" Dana replied trying to squeeze out a small smile.
"Oh good, have you ever thought about modeling?" Mr Chen asked diving right into the marvelous thought that popped into his head from the moment he saw Dana, he knew star potential and with a build and height like Dana's he was ready to throw in a million to make her into a top model.
"No sir... But I have a friend who is really interested in jobs like that" Dana replied feeling a bit awkward but then again she couldn't just forget Gu Xixi, and when the man had asked if she wanted to be a model Xixi had popped into her head. TV and media publicity was never going to be her cup of tea, she was already a fugitive, a wanted criminal for a case she knew nothing about, keeping out of public attention was the best thing if she wanted to keep living freely even though she was still bound to the cages in her mind..
"Well I want you miss Zheng, you're the perfect fit for my new line and most of all the industry needs a breath of fresh air at least" Mr Chen said before lowering himself unto a chair beside him.
"I'm sorry sir but I'll really want to pass on this offer."
"That's alright, you can always change your mind so here's my business card holla me when you have a change of heart" Mr Chen said before strolling out with Linx who had been quietly staring daggers at them the whole time.
