"Don't worry, I'm sure he'll run," the archer added.
When the three Little Roar Wolves were only 25 steps away, they saw that the mysterious newbie player quickly took his sword from the ground.
He took hold of its handle with both hands and slightly lowered his body.
"Look! He didn't run! He intends to fight the monsters!" The mage shouted.
From the pose of the mysterious newbie, it was clear that he had no intention of retreating.
'What the hell! He's going to embarrass me!' The archer shouted inwardly. 'I can't believe it. I really thought he would run. But this dumbass carried his weapon as he waited. Uhh… Hmm… wait, If he died confronting them, that would be so hilarious. Hehe. In that case, it won't be my embarrassment, but his.'
"He really intends to fight the three ferocious monsters. But can he handle them?" The assassin asked.
The archer grinned. "Hehe." He replied saying, "Impossible! I'm pretty sure he just wanted to show off. How naive. Maybe he thought fighting three at the same time is just easy!
Not because he was lucky in that one earlier, he would be going to be lucky also against three. There are a lot of really stupid players in this game and the mechanism of the game has been misinterpreted. "
Upon hearing what the archer said, the assassin nodded. "Maybe he thought this game is still the same as the ones he played before. That as long as your level and character statistics are higher than the opponent's, you will be able to beat everyone easily. But, that's where he goes wrong. This game is not like that. There are other factors you need to consider in this game… "
"Yes, that's exactly what I mean," Archer smirked.
"If before we used to play video games using our fingers and minds only, don't put the FullDive game in the same category as those classic games because the whole you and your real-life experiences are very important in this game… because you yourselves are the one in the game," explained the assassin.
Although they use an avatar and not their real body, it could also be said that their avatar could be considered their second body. So, what's the use of having a high level if you don't have the skills to back it up? This is what the two wanted to say.
It's just like letting a big man who knows nothing about martial arts fight against a smaller martial artist. No matter how big your body was, if your opponent was a skilled fighter, you would definitely be at odds.
This is how the full-dive game is. You shouldn't just depend on your statistics. You must also have the ability to fight.
"Exactly what I mean. That's why he's a big dick for going up against three monsters at the same time."
Archer's mouth was unstoppable as he said those berated words.
The archer's eyes suddenly narrowed when he noticed something he thought was ridiculous.
Suddenly, he burst out laughing.
"Pufft! This is funny. He used dwarf as his character and chose warrior as his class. Hahaha! Hilarious! Very hilarious! Warrior and dwarf? For real? That's a big no! What kind of future did he envision, a turtle warrior?! Hehehe!"
The archer laughed.
"Uhh! You're right!" The assassin and mage just then realized after the archer mentioned it.
"Really, the stupidity of this one is astonishing. Didn't he know that dwarves are known as slowpokes? It's the reason why they have very little population on this continent. The Human and Elf Race is superior here. It looks like he's just really a beginner and knows nothing. Well, fortunately, I did a little research before logging into this game. If not, I might be as stupid as that person. Pwe!"
Suddenly the two were distracted when they heard the mage shout.
"Wait, wait a minute! Look! "
The archer stopped laughing and at the same time, the two turned to where the Mage was pointing at. They saw what the mysterious newbie had done and immediately their eyes widened and their jaws almost touched the ground.
"What!?" The archer shouted.
They saw the mysterious newbie who parried effortlessly the attacks of the monsters with just the slightest movement of his sword. He seemed to know where the enemies would go and where they would attack him.
"What!? Does he have ultra instinct?!" The archer couldn't help but ask it out loud. The expression on his face was like that of a person eating tasteless food. His mouth was open as if he was no longer breathing.
Using the flat of his sword, Ranz beat one of the three monsters. The monster was hit directly.
Thud!
A prompt saying he dealt 10 damage on it had appeared. It was followed by another prompt saying he successfully slew it. Then, he gained 2% XP.
He kicked the one who was trying to bite his foot.
Bam!
This time, his damage on it was only 5 points. Kick wasn't as strong as weapon strike after all.
Due to his kick, the monster sprang up and rolled away.
Using his Hard Strike skill, he finished the third Little Roar Wolf with a slash. Surprisingly, he dealt 12 points damage on the monster and instantly killed it. He received another 2 percent XP from killing it.
Hard Strike is a 1-strike attack that comes from top to bottom. If landed on the ground, it can cause a mini quake effect that even if it doesn't hit the target directly, as long as the target was in the range of the mini quake, the target would definitely become dizzy for a while.
If the skill successfully hit the target, the damage was x2 of the player's total attack power.
After finishing the third monster effortlessly, he threw a sword at the second one who tasted his kick. The last enemy was struck by his sword and died instantly.
Chump!
Like usual, he received some prompts showing his damage and the notification that he killed it along with additional 2 percent XP.
After killing all tree monsters, a gust of wind passed by.
Whoosh~
In almost an instant, he had defeated all three. Because of the speed of events, it seemed like he finished all three almost at the same time.
The only things left on the ground were the drop items.
[Obtained Wolf Hide x8!]
[Obtained Roar Wolf Bone x4!]
[Obtained 103 Crownies!]
Ranz collected all the materials on the ground.
After collecting the drop items, Ranz checked his XP.
[Exp: 34%/100%]
He found out that his XP had only slightly increased after killing those four monsters.
"Only eight percent XP increased for those four?"
"Well, I already expected it because of the gap in our level…"
"Looks like I need to find some monsters closer to my level."
Ranz looked around him after checking his status.
"Eh!? What happened to them?" He gawked when he noticed the three players earlier had become something like statues while staring at him with dumbfounded faces.
"Uhm… archer… did you say something earlier?" The assassin asked.
"I did not say anything. Maybe you're just imagining it. How about you? Did you… say something?" The archer replied and asked back.
"I didn't say anything either," the assassin said.
They conversed via whisper.
The two didn't know but it was as if an invisible hand had slapped their faces, especially the archer.
"He… he's good!" the mage's eyes shone brightly.
Ranz was about to leave the area but he heard fast-approaching steps, so he took a glance and saw the mage player coming towards him while waving her hands in his direction.
"Hey! Wait!" She called out.
Ranz glanced around and noticed no other player around that might be the target of her call. He didn't want to assume that he was the one the mage was calling.
Ranz stopped first to find out what this player needed. Following behind her were the two players with her earlier.
"What? Do you need something? "
He greeted her immediately with a question when she arrived before him.
"Can we team up!?" Without beating around the bush, she asked straight up while her eyes glittering.
WHAT!
The two male players exclaimed at the same time.
