After several seconds, the two were finally a few meters away from him.
Now that they were close enough, he could finally see the expression on their faces. Looking at their expressions, there was no doubt that they were pleased to see his predicament.
'Uggh! These two bastards are shameless!' Ranz bellowed inwardly.
Initially, he wanted to ask for their help, but after he noticed the euphoric expression on their faces while looking at his distress, Ranz immediately realized they were the reason for his current situation. They were not there to help him but instead made his landing more difficult.
Ranz could not tell if these two were part of the special mission to add spices to his mission. There was also a high possibility that they were just psychos who think bullying a newbie player could make them greater. Perhaps they were just spoiled brats in real life.
Either of the two, still both pointing out that these two were variables who wanted to make his landing difficult.
'Well. I can't blame them. Even in my previous game, I also encountered players like them. Online games are also a good stress reliever. You can release all your built-up stress by beating someone's avatar.' Ranz himself experienced this once.
Since it seemed no one could help him in his situation, he needed to rely on himself only.
"If only I could open my inventory to check if there are valuable materials there that could help me in my situation, but unfortunately, I still don't have the right to do that."
Ranz quickly glanced around, searching for something that could help him survive.
Meanwhile, he was slowly descending diagonally.
As he was looking around, from the corner of his eyes, he caught a glimpse of something below. Ranz's mouth curved to form a forced smile.
"Looks like I have no choice, huh. I need to gamble then."
Looking at the newbie who seemed to be anxiously looking around, Dawn Silver and Lonewolf had incredible fun.
Dawn Silver looked at Lonewolf and said, "I told you, this is better than killing those trash vultures, hehehe!" Dawn laughed like a third-rate villain. But, he suddenly fell silent because of an unexpected exclamation from Lonewolf.
"This bastard!"
Dawn wondered if Lonewolf was angry at him, so he looked at him with knitted brows. But as soon as he looked at him, he noticed Lonewolf wasn't looking at him, but instead, he was staring straight at the Winged-Bubble with an unexpected expression on his face. The joy he had just a second ago had disappeared from his face. Rather, he seemed annoyed.
Although wondering why the expression on his companion's face was like that, he curiously turned to where Lonewolf was looking.
When Dawn looked back at the Winged-Bubble, he exclaimed a question.
"What?!"
The player inside the Winged-Bubble peeked into the hole as he stuck out his tongue and pulled his face to look ridiculous.
'This idiot is mocking us!?' Dawn Silver shouted angrily inwardly.
Beside him, his companion clenched his teeth. "This bastard is courting death!" Lonewolf said, sounding like a villain in most cultivation-based novels.
Although also angry, Dawn remained calm.
"Don't be carried away by his ridicule. I'm sure that idiot is just desperate. Come on, let's finish this fool! Let's see who will cry in the end!" Dawn Silver said with a frown.
In his mind, he thought, 'Whoever is going to die in this game would probably cry in real life because of the expensive penalty, especially newbies like him who don't yet have the ability to earn money.'
They circled around the falling Winged-Bubble. The two Fierce Vultures were still tailing them. The two made sure they were at the right distance so as not to cancel the aggro.
Ranz could see the two players' looks. Based on their attire, there was no doubt that they were experienced players.
"Lonewolf, let's end his suffering!"
"Okay, Dawn Silver!"
HEHEHE! The two laughed again.
They refocused their direction on the Winged-Bubble. Then, Dawn counts down, "3... 2... 1..." After that, he cried out suddenly. "Now! Lone!"
After Dawn Silver's shout, they suddenly left the trajectory of the vortexes that were fast approaching from behind them. They flew higher while the vortexes continued toward the Winged-Bubble.
"Adios! Bwahaha!" Lonewolf shouted, then laughed.
However, before the Wind Vortexes could hit the Winged-Bubble, Ranz also shouted.
"Landing mode, deactivate!"
As a result, the Winged-Bubble disappeared and Ranz suddenly plunged down a bit faster. He successfully avoided getting hit by the vortexes in a small margin.
The smile on the lips of the two disappeared when they saw what he had done.
Ranz was plunging down. He couldn't count how many seconds had passed before he crashed into a pile of haystacks.
"I didn't expect him to do that. Did he die?" Lonewolf said, a little surprised.
"Even if he falls on a pile of straw, it's impossible for a newbie character to survive such a high fall," Dawn Silver replied.
After saying this, he ordered, "Anyway, we're running out of time for our appointment. End those annoyances behind us."
"Heh, so in the end, this is still what will happen. Haha. Okay! Let me handle them!"
After saying that, he took the two weapons on his back.
He met the approaching Fierce Vultures and when they were at enough range, he used his high-tier skill, the Boomerang Strike.
The two one-handed axes flew while spinning fiercely, then they directly shredded the two vulture's bodies, decreasing their health points to zero.
After their health points reached zero, the two turned to pixels and disappeared.
After killing the two Level 25 Fierce Vultures, Lonewolf's weapons returned to him like gentle puppies.
Satisfied with the result, he grinned.
However, looking at the falling items, he cried out.
"Ah! The drops!"
In this game, like any other game, when a player killed a monster, the monster would drop random items.
"Forget it. There are more important things we need to do than picking up a few pennies. Let's go before we're late!"
"Ughh, o~kay…" Lonewolf replied unwillingly.
*Sigh~*
Before leaving, they took one more glance at the haystack where the newbie fell. Noticing that no one was coming out from it, they flew towards the southern part of the village.
A few seconds after the two left, Ranz came out of the pile of haystacks. He noticed not far from him some items were lying on the ground.
"Is this… blessings amidst the misfortunes, right?"
He mumbled.
