There was melting snow everywhere, frost and ice too.
"We call this land, "The changing wind" it has four different seasons", He said.
"Just like our home", Pablo said.
"Do you like it?", He asked.
"It's… perfect", I said.
The people jubilated when we brought back the news three months later, while my father was just glad that I was brought back.
We moved into the land which was a lot larger than we thought and just as beautiful as its tropical twin, our new home.
My people quickly built all the most important amenities and within three years we no longer had to leech on the kind Wathambans, as they were called.
The prince and I remained close friends even after my people moved out, his name was Owia as I later on found out, which meant The Sun in the language of the Ashanti tribe of the Ghana country of Khala Wathamba, their continent's name.
My name was similar to Lun which had war origins in Irish, but truly came from the French word for The moon, La Lune. What a coincidence...
Our friendship lasted years, especially because, he was the reason I was there... he was the one who showed us the edible plants.
I decided to go by my usual daily routine and eavesdrop on one of my father's meetings, this is what happened:
"Your highness, the Wathambans have stolen another piece of our land and are still obstructing construction processes in the south", the Witan of the Italian country began.
"Your highness, we have been told Wathamban bandits have robbed several banks across the English border", The Witan of the English country added.
Wathamban, Wathamban, Wathamban... This was all he heard all day, sometimes at night, till eventually...
"The Wathambans invited us into their land, only to bully and make fun of us, but we would not tolerate that! I declare war!", The emperor exclaimed.
There was a loud chant as majority of his council fully agreed. I was part of the minority...
I ran inside to stop the madness but ended up being locked in my room, I had to get out, I had to warn my best friend!
A message had been sent to the Wathamban Emperor, a message of an alliance, it was a lie. I sat in my room for hours, as they planned the ambush I was watching the guards' daily routine from a camera feed I hacked, I kept repeating a promising video till I found the weaknesses, how I will escape...
