When she reached the meeting spot that Cyril had insisted on he wasn't there. His tardiness bothered Zyra a lot. It was an unnecessary stress just to deal with Cyril at times. If she was Kaizen's mate like he claimed then why did her stomach get topsy turvy at the thought of seeing Cyril.
Why did she feel so unsettled, like just the thought of having to choose between the two of them made her stomach want to hurl its contents. Why did she hate that Cyril looked at her with disappointment that made fear gnaw at her stomach with unease at a growing sense of loss.
It had never occurred to her before that Cyril would not wait forever for her to make up her mind and might turn to someone else. That he might get fed up to the point where he got tired of her indecision and finally left her alone.
