Luckily she was spared from answering when Kit ran out of the hut all excited to greet them.

Or was he so relieved to see Leon that having outsiders see such a private moment did not matter in the scale of things as he was so overwhelmed.
She was not against him trusting Pierre, she knew her team had to rely on Pierre heavily in her absence.
