A shout from outside of the campsite got Zyra's attention.
There was a small group of men approaching the hideout. Frank and Kit went ahead to see if they were friend or foe, it would give the others a chance to escape if necessary.
"Take me to your leader."
She saw Kit posturing flanked by Frank whose face was unreadable as they squared off against four men.
"What makes you think I'm not the leader of this camp?" Frank asked with chagrin.
"You're too old and he's too young, both of you combined would never have what it takes to be a leader."
Kit thought it better keep his mouth shut at Frank's blustering but inwardly he wanted to laugh. All of the men looked more serious than the situation warranted.
