"I knew you were here."
She blinked her eyes as she stared at him again and down at her wrist which was held by him.
Was this a dream? This certainly is a dream! She coaxed herself and closed her eyes, the injury in her eye worsening as her eyelids fluttered back open, only to be met by the same man, Ezekiel's strong gaze on her. Coming back to her senses, she dragged her hand away from him but unfortunately, her wrist was still held tightly, he even exerted more pressure on it, which led to the falling of the knife and its cluttering sounds as it hit the floor.
"Can you see me?" She questioned. At that moment, she knew what she was saying made no sense. How could she ask such a question, when the person she was asking right now held her wrist in capture and was staring a dagger at her? She cleared her throat and forced herself to mutter out some words, "Let me go!"
