"Is he all right?" Bree asked worriedly as she looked at Ahmar who was lying unconscious on the bed. When she saw him coming out of the black tower all bloody and bruised, she knew that his injuries were serious but she never thought that they were this serious—— for such a strong vampire like him to faint in front of her, Bree couldn't help but worry. Just how bad Ahmar's injuries really were that he actually fainted, she could have of course doubted that he was feigning weakness in front of her to gain sympathy from her but after listening to his words before he fell, she knew that his pride was too big for him to do something like this.
If he really wanted to gain sympathy from her, then he would have let his shields down and let her feel his pain but he didn't instead he suffered all that pain alone and didn't share an ounce with her. A man of such strong pride and ego, he would rather break his knees than feign sickness in front of her.
