Humans were gifted knowledge from celestials. They were simply given knowledge - not power. But given time, humans could develop this knowledge. They could become powerful like the celestials.
The first celestial war, however, changed the landscape. Humans found the true power of celestials. They saw cities decimated by celestials in battles. While they grew fear, they also grew understanding on the power of celestials.
Five celestial religions participated in the first celestial war, and three were 'victorious'. This victory, however, was simply an illusion.
The Kasi Gods, one of the victorious religions, saw through this illusion. They knew that the defeated religions - the rakshasas and demons - were not truly wiped out. They would come back given time to recover.
However, after the huge war, all the gods were exhausted. So they entrusted the humans that followed their religions with a mission - to grow stronger.
The first celestial war had finished, but the second celestial war was inevitable. The gods decided to give the humans enough time to get stronger so that they could be of help. They were given 700 years of time.
The other religions that participated in the war were the Zena and Nordic Religions. The gods belonging to these religions saw the Kasi Gods give more knowledge to the humans and repeated the same with their followers.
After 700 years, the gods would reawaken and seek out the rakshasas and demons. After 700 years they would once again go to war. But this time, humans would also participate.

The rakshasas and demons were celestials, and celestials never truly died. They simply needed time to rest and regain their powers.
They understood that even if they regained their powers they wouldn't win, so they ordered their human followers to search for a method that would let them grow the number of celestials in their armies.
They did not care for the consequences of the method, they only desired results. Once they regained power, they would overwhelm the gods with their sheer number.

As the 700 years approached, the leader of the Kasi gods awakened from a long slumber. When he saw the progress of the humans, he was not satisfied. Therefore he gifted a small piece of his divinity to humanity.
He was making a bet. He was betting on the potential of humans that no one had fully explored.
The divinity he gave sought a perfect companion. It found one in a newborn baby abandoned at a temple. One of the temples of the leader of the Kasi Gods - Saketh.
