Chapter 61 - Tales of Beginnings: Part 2

The bastard child of Satan and Leia, Danniel grew in the outskirts of hell. With white hair and purple eyes, his father knew what his birth signaled and started scheming.

After being born, Danny lived with his father, his father's legitimate wife, and his father's heir, Marcuse, until he was nine. Lilith was willing to keep him around so long as he was a high-level demon, but out of the three grades, Danniel's human blood made him a low-level.

Because of his low level, she wasn't willing to let him live with them, and he was brought back to his mother.

Danniel's mental state wasn't that good, and one night, as Danniel went to a nearby park to "rid himself of his problems," he met someone who changed his plans.

He met a young descendant in the bloodline of Chaos. This Chaos, the one-hundred and sixty-third, was in that park for the same reason as Danniel. Seeing him, Danniel decided to have him as his companion for his plans.

His father left a maid to take care of his mother and him. After leaving Danniel's mother, her mental stability was crushed, and all she hoped for was that "her Danny" would live a happy life. So she pushed him to give second chances to his father.

So four years after Satan left Danniel with his mother when he asked Danniel to accompany him to Eden for the annual archangel conference, Danniel, though reluctant to go with his father, agreed after his mother requested him to. Danniel went with his half-brother, who was eager to see him again, and with his father, who couldn't care less.

In Eden, Danniel met Emma, who came and talked to him out of nowhere, and they had a good time. But all things have to end, and while enjoying their time, his uncle, Michael, sent troops who were ineffective against them.

Because his men were insufficient, Michael himself showed up and beat the living hell out of his bastard nephew. At the conclusion of this first fight of Danniel against a significant force of the world, he was unconscious, and one of his horns broke.

This horn breaking was a catalyst for many of Danniel's issues later. Magic was spilling out from the unhealing injury, and his body wasn't replenishing it. This made his magic to get even weaker than it was as a low-level demon.

Three years after the events in Eden, Danniel enlisted in the top high school in hell. He got in through a scholarship for being the smartest low-level demon.

Because of his constantly depleting magic, he was subject to ridicule by many, but even before the events in Eden, Danniel trained. He didn't train in casting spells but in the theory of magic and controlling it.

Like some god, who, if they lived in the same period, would be confused for his twin because of how similar they looked, Danniel was curious and wanted to see how the world worked. He might have been weak, but even if he were to fall behind, he wanted to see why, and luckily for him, he was gifted with the right power for it.

Rapidly, his understanding of magic and his control over it grew. Partly because he was bright, but those who knew his fate couldn't overlook how his gift affected it.

God's eyes. A power that was given to the All-Enchanter by the primordial being, Chaos. This power lets its owner the ability to see all, and the owner's aptitude is what allows them to control what they see.

At the start of the school year, through Marcuse, who was finally reunited with his brother, whom he saw as his rival, the demon lord, Satan, requested Danniel to dine with him, and the latter didn't see any problem with it.

During that dinner, Satan demanded his more competent bastard son to support his heir as he held a competition, where he let many demon tribes nominate whomever they wanted to be the demon lord after him. Danniel was furious and refused to go along with his father's plans.

But he didn't hate his brother. He only hated his father... He had chosen to support his brother through the shadows, and his efforts bore fruit.

While this competition was still happening, Danniel was kidnapped to Eden by slave traders and was bought by an angel family he knew. Emma's father bought Momotaro, Ishtar, and him.

During the events that unfolded in Eden. Uriel, Emma's father, died. Michael attacked them and awakened Danniel's gift completely, and two voices other than his own started speaking in his head. The voice of the first inheritor of god's eyes took control over Danniel's body and slew Michael.

These events caused Satan to be asked by his father to return to being an archangel sooner than he expected.

As such, the competition results were to be revealed earlier than planned. So, Danniel recruited Atlas to his side with the promise Chaos would be made the king of the Greek demons. With Atlas joining them and several other minor things, Marcuse was chosen to be the next king.

But Danniel couldn't rest. Along with his allies, he left for the realm of destruction to find other gifted and learn more about these powers.

In the realm of destruction, he learned of the second voice in his head, other than the first inheritor. This voice was the All-Enchanter's grudge, crystalized into the essence that Danniel inherited.

The All-Enchanter used this resentment to take over Danniel's body, and he had a different reason to search for the Gifted. All gifts came from Chaos, so if one collected all the gifts, one could resurrect the primordial being.

Danniel allied himself with Sun Wukong, who was supposed to make sure the All-Enchanter wouldn't take over, but being near the divine being, his erased memories flashed through his mind, and he resurrected him.

The resurrected All-Enchanter kidnapped Quies as he thought she would be beneficial for his plans. Danniel tried chasing him on his own.

On his way, he spoke with the gods of death and rebirth and learned what is divinity. He met his godly grandmother, Heltinne, who asked him to bring the All-Enchanter back to the side of reason because destroying reality was far beyond his original goals.

During her stay with the All-Enchanter, Quies swiped the all-destroyers essence of god's destruction, which she later used and became closer to a god than the average semi-divine gifted.

When Danniel reached Eden because he needed to access the door to the divine plane, his father stood in his way, and they fought. In that fight, Danniel won and killed his father.

Before he could pass through the door to the divine plane, his allies caught up to him and brought all those who weren't there, including Marcuse, who, the last time he met Danniel, was told by Danniel's grandmother, the goddess of heroes, that he would die a villain.

During that battle, Danniel achieved his goals. The All-Enchanter gave up on his own accord after Danniel showed him the world he wanted to create and reignited the All-Enchanter's hope. And all but the two gods of death and rebirth were dead.

But contrary to Danniel's great success, Marcuse sacrificed himself and died. This might sound like a hero's death, and it might have been, but this made him crack.

Why should he, the legitimate son, the demon king, his father's heir, be the one to die? Why was the bastard son without magic the one who was celebrated, the one to rule? He might have been a demon king, but what was he when looking at his brother, the demon god?

Envy and jealousy that brewed for years without anyone noticing came out in a sudden fit of rage. He decided that if fate would permit his wish to be obtained, he shall destroy all his brother had worked for.

When Danniel recreated reality, he let anyone who wanted to reincarnate have their souls resurrected and wish for three wishes, so long as they weren't breaking the rules, at least one would be provided.

Marcuse wished for control over the bodies of children of gods who didn't want to reincarnate. And because of sleep deprivation and overwork, as if by a twist of fate, his wish, which even he thought was ridiculous, was accepted.

Marcuse became a god and took on the persona of Antony.

But now, now he had crossed the line, and both his brother and he knew it. If Marcuse couldn't capture his brother by surprise, he was doomed.
