Chapter 47 - Armageddon And Thomas At Mrs. Hella's Mercy

About three months before Shu won the dragon gate competition, Hannah, Thomas, Armageddon, and a few others were blown away by Antony's winds. They crashed not far from the city of the human god.

"So, Armageddon. Where is my daughter?"

Thomas asked Armageddon after he woke up.

When Thomas woke, he saw Armageddon awake and treating the others' wounds.

Armageddon sighed deeply.

"You are a moron."

The giant man said.

"You piece of shi-"

Thomas reached for his sword. He was alarmed to find out it wasn't tied to his belt.

"Your sword is over there."

The large man pointed in a certain direction.

"And about your daughter. How did you not figure out that the leader is Mary?! She is your daughter."

Armageddon questioned Thomas. Thomas was surprised.

"Why did she not tell me who she was?"

He was shaken. How could this be? Did she not want to see him?

"She has some master plan to prevent the apocalypse."

Armageddon recalled what she had said before about completing her "task."

"So what now?"

Thomas asked.

"We need to go to Nippon Mountain."

Armageddon's face made it clear how much the thought of traveling with Thomas made him question his life choices.

"Why's that?"

Thomas wasn't willing to follow this lunatic if there was a better option.

"She told me that if a weather god split us soon after we encounter the boy she is looking for, then I can find her in the Nippon Mountain."

Armageddon answered.

"I have a quick way to Nippon Mountain."

Thomas said and pointed in the direction of the human god's city.

"No, she would kill me."

Armageddon argued but knew it indeed was the best option.

After half an hour of silently waiting, the others started to wake up. First was a male angel with black wings, green hair, and brown eyes.

"Armageddon, sir! Sorry to keep you waiting."

The young man saluted and stood straight-backed. Thomas wondered whether this youngster was a soldier before.

"It's okay, Ben. You can stand easy."

Armageddon answered with a surprisingly gentle smile.

The second was a male vampire. He seemed tired and had large bags under his eyes.

"Yo... Armageddon... Where... is... Mary?"

Every word said was elongated and slow. He had a gloomy tone that fit his looks.

"In Nippon Mountain, Cairo. She told us this many times."

Armageddon's tone showed his frustration from dealing with the slow Cairo.

The third was Hannah. The young white-haired, red-eyed demoness with cow horns looked at Thomas, worried. Were they not surrounded by enemies?

"It's okay. For some reason, they are looking for Shu. So we decided to work together for the time being."

Thomas calmed her worries.

Both groups walked together to the city of the human god.

They arrived at the upper city with the buildings that reached the sky. There was a giant pit in the upper city's middle. When Hannah saw that sinkhole, she felt guilty. It was she who helped Hector's people create that sinkhole. It was she who helped attack bystanders. Even if her mind was locked at the time, was that truly enough to excuse her from her crimes?

After walking through several back alleys, they reached an ancient-looking door. On the door's other side was a small room that required them to go three times. Every time two people went down, and lastly, Armageddon squeezed in and followed them down.

They walked for a bit in the under city toward one of the pillars that held the roof.

They hadn't reached the pillar when they met the black blob.

The black blob thing started talking in a weird tongue.

Hannah's eyes widened in surprise as she understood what he was saying.

"He is asking if you know where the holder of 'god's way' is."

Hannah translated, and Thomas lowered his head in disappointment. Thomas sighed before he lifted his head back to the blob.

"I thought you knew where she was since you are her servant."

Thomas said with a condescending expression. Calling someone a servant sounds like an insult, but how he worded it made it clear he meant the blob wasn't doing his job correctly.

"Ayım kayda? Sen paydasız bok!"

[Translation: where is the Mrs? you useless shit]

The blob shouted at him in irritation, but Thomas didn't even bat an eye as he kept going toward the pillars.

"So what now?"

Armageddon asked.

"We shall wait for the old hag. Without her or someone else's help, we won't be able to keep going with our current power levels. For now, let's go rent a room in the city."

Thomas answered, and they went to look for a hotel. Armageddon hoped Thomas would give up, but as long as they didn't wait for over a month, waiting was still worth it.

********

They checked into a room at the hotel run by Mrs. Hella. Of course, she wasn't there, but this didn't mean they closed the business.

The staff told them she was supposed to return in a day or two, so they decided to wait for her to return.

Most of them slept, except for Thomas and Armageddon, who didn't trust one another not to kill each other.

After several hours, Mrs. Hella stepped through the door. She looked disappointed to see the many youngsters sleeping instead of greeting her.

On the other hand, both Armageddon and Thomas stood straight back and greeted her like soldiers. They were both afraid of her. Armageddon might win against her, but he didn't want to test his luck.

"Where is Mary?"

Mrs. Hella asked.

"I found her, but some crazy god appeared out of nowhere and teleported us away."

Thomas answered.

"A god? What did he look like?"

Mrs. Hella asked.

"Blue hair and closed eyes"

Thomas answered everything he could think of.

"The weather god... Why is a major god here in the godless realm?"

Mrs. Hella tried to get more information, though he had no clue.

"She is probably at Nippon Mountain right now."

Armageddon interjected.

"You!"

Mrs. Hella grabbed him with magic.

"How dare you show yourself here?!"

Mrs. Hella asked with an enraged tone.

"She asked me to join hands with you to save the world."

Armageddon answered quickly.

"Who's she?!"

Mrs. Hella demanded an answer.

"Mary! She has been working with me for years."

Armageddon explained.

Mrs. Hella was slightly shocked and had several questions she wanted answers to, but it wasn't the right time.

Mrs. Hella summoned a door in the air and opened it.

"Rise and shine, kids! It's time to go to Nippon Mountain."

The light from the other side of the door woke everyone sleeping in the room, and after an hour, they went through it.
