Shu and Mary walked through the forest.
Monsters tried hunting them every few minutes, but they would defend against them.
It was dusk on their second day in the forest, and they were so close to the mountain that the path became steep, and it had gotten harder to walk.
"Let's make camp here."
Mary said as they reached a clearing in the forest.
The clearing where they decided to make camp was surrounded by a perfectly shaped circle of rocks, and the ground was softer than the rocky environment around the clearing.
"Okay, Ms. Guide."
Shu said and put the bag full of rations they collected on the ground.
"Please don't call me that."
Mary said because she felt embarrassed by that nickname and the title ''Ms.'' made her feel old.
Then, the ground began shaking and sinking, and stones surrounding the clearing started rising and closing in on them.
Shu grabbed the rations and ran to help Mary as fast as possible.
The ground began getting sticky, but he could see all the sticky parts subconsciously with his powers and avoided the stick area as he reached Mary, grabbed her in his arms, and ran away.
The ground became excessively steep, and at the rate of his running, he wouldn't make it in time to escape the earth from closing in on them.
Then, a rope came from above up ahead, and Shu grabbed it with his teeth because he was out of hands.
They were quickly pulled out, and Shu was lying on the ground, out of breath.
"Are you okay?"
Mary asked, but Shu, who ran out of breath, didn't answer.
''It's not like I cared anyway.''
She pouted.
"Zero Potential Guy?! Is that you?"
A man with black hair and blue eyes asked happily, and a sword appeared in his hand.
"Zero Potential Guy? Who's that?"
Mary asked, confused by the man's remark.
"Alexander, how are you?"
Shu, who rested a bit, smirked.
"What are you doing here?"
Alexander asked Shu as he looked suspiciously at Mary.
Shu explained everything that happened, and towards the end, Alexander seemed worried.
"Gods went freely in the Godless realm. This is bad enough... So, what's the plan?"
Alexander asked as he understood the severity of the situation.
"We are trying to get back to the new lands and find the rest of the crew."
Shu answered.
"How are you planning to get there?"
Alexander asked, and Shu seemed unable to answer.
"We will climb the mountain of no returns and then slide to the broken valley, then we will sneak onto one of the carts of the monster train, we will get off at the earliest port city we will see and then get a ship."
Mary explained, and unlike Shu, Alexander listened to the entire explanation. Even though he is not a native, he understood what she was talking about from things he heard while traveling around.
"Okay, can I join you?"
Alexander asked.
"Sure, the more the Mary-er."
Shu said and looked at Mary.
"Do you want me to punch him for you?"
Alexander asked Mary, who was embarrassed.
"No need."
Mary said with a polite and thankful tone.

"So, what are we gonna do about Antony?"
Danniel, the demon god, asked the few gods that he gathered.
"He broke the law. We can do whatever we want to stop him."
Danniel's right-hand god, Chaos, said.
"Wait, isn't this the same excuse he has been using? Because mortals broke the divine law, he went hunting the lawbreakers by himself."
Quies, the dreamer god, said.
"But what else can we do?"
Chaos tried defending his idea.
"What about lifting the 'Mortal Barrier System'?"
Jonathan, the criminal god, said.
"Do you really want another multi-realm war?"
Danniel's left-hand god, Momotaro, asked Jonathan.
"You know I was never a fan of this system, and what's happening now is proof that a god can exploit the system to get what he wants, and the mortals can't even defend themselves with the current system."
Jonathan answered.
"Well, I promised that I would replace the system if anyone has a better idea or if the situation calls for it, and I guess it's time for me to hold my end of the deal."
Danniel said, and his eyes glowed brightly with the color of purple.

Shu, Mary, and Alexander were climbing up the mountain of no returns when an enormous surge of energy hit the three of them.
It was more intense than anything they had encountered until that point.
Shu held his head and screamed in pain as he saw infinite futures.
Alexander felt a massive surge of power and needed to control it, or he would create something dangerous.
Mary felt pain as she felt something awoken in her, but she didn't know what it was.

"Shouldn't we send someone to help your experiment and his friends now that their power will grow exponentially?"
Quies asked.
"Chaos, take Mira with you and go train those kids, please."
Danniel said to his right-hand god, and Chaos nodded his head.
"Momotaro, I want you to make twenty weapons for them. Make sure that not all of them are Katanas."
Danniel said to his left-hand god, who nodded his head as well.
'Too bad we couldn't keep the peace for longer than this, but now it's time for war.'
Danniel thought to himself as he used his gift to look at the mortal plane.
