That should stop her from making stupid assumptions and fuming at me.

After a few seconds of abrupt silence that involved her gauging the shopping bags with her eyes and sizing them up, she said;
"You mean…you mean, those aren't even for me?"
" Not meant for you?…what do you mean?"
I raised a brow out of confusion. At first,I didn't get what she meant by asking me that question. I looked down at the bags and then back up at her in horror just as my brain processed the web of misunderstanding Michelle spun all by herself.
It was too late though because her face was already twisted in hurt and her eyes coloured with a different shade of anger.
Fuck.
"Elle…wait--"
She was already stumping out of the elevator that dinged it's arrival signal before I could stop her. I made to go after her but the shopping bags held me down and the elevator door shut close.
" Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"
