“How can you ask me to calm down when my entire life is a joke?” Vincent snapped.
“What happened?” Amelia asked again.
Sitting on the couch, he pinched the space between his brows and closed his eyes. “Forget it. You won’t understand.”
“Of course I will.” Sitting beside him, she placed her hand on his arm. “But you have to tell me what happened—”
“I had submitted my CV the other day, and I heard from them today. They offered me to be an intern in the company.” Gritting his teeth, he snarled, “Those bastards are trying to humiliate me.”
“If they are treating you this way, why do you still want to work in their company? You have other options—”
Cutting her off, he snapped, “That company is my right. Just like Owen and Daniel, I am an Anderson too. Everything that belongs to them should belong to me as well.”
