[NEXT DAY, ANDERSON ENTERPRISE]
[DANIEL’S OFFICE]
“What happened that night?” When Daniel did not answer, Brian asked again. “You have to tell me. I am your best friend.”
“Why are you fussing about it so much? Nothing happened.” Glancing at his watch, Daniel frowned. “Aren’t you late for work? What are you doing here?”
Ignoring his question, Brian kept asking him what had happened after they were done drinking at the club the previous night. “Will you tell me or not? I know something happened.”
After they started the intense drinking game, he could barely recall anything. He vaguely remembered calling his assistant to fetch him at the club because he was too drunk to even stand still. Later, his assistant told him that when he reached there, he saw Owen and Daniel leaving with a woman.
“Why are you being so nosy?”
“This is not called being nosy. It’s curiosity,” Brian defended himself. “Just forget it, I’ll ask Owen about it.”
“Do whatever you want.”
