PROSE MODE.
After the boring speeches and awards giving to the most outstanding students, the degrees were handed out and the graduation ceremony pulled to a close. Graduating students flooded out of the hall heading to the venue for the after-party.
Kristyn couldn't care less about that. She'd gotten her degree and award and she was off to her dorm room to get some rest. The other students still had a month till their semester officially ends, she planned to just stay on campus and then go back home when the other students go off on holiday.
She saw a vending machine nearby and decided to get herself a drink before heading back.
"Kristyn."
She recognized Horace's voice but didn't lift her head to meet his gaze until she'd gotten her drink.
"Congratulations."
"Congratulations to you too."
She popped the can open and sipped her Coke.
"Can I walk you back to your room?"
